Yes, DHFC have noted that a lot of their side has been released. Some have gone a step higher after failing to win the league below so hope you get the best out of them.

Decisive. We've never been decisive in recent end of season/pre season. I remember hearing many of you last season saying "anything happening?" / "do we have a team?".
I don't know these players, but I'm enjoying this no nonsense approach and a bit of open communication - you know...what paying fans like, appreciate, get a bit of excitement and reward from! Keep it up!
Bromley fans have said they wanted to keep Waldren in the season just finished but he couldn't due to work committments. Sprague has had a number of league teams looking at him the last 18 months and was in the England C squad in March.
Be interesting to see what these players are like in pre-season!

As I've said before, damned if you do damned if you dont. Let's give them a chance and if they're not up to it after a few months then you're entitled to your view.
There isn't a major difference in ability between the top of Ryman and top half of south. And to echo others words we are in a much better position than this time last year.
Honestly cannot believe some of the stuff here. Potentially exciting times ahead, new owners which people have endlessly called for, plans for the future that we've never had. Experienced man at the helm that with never had and people want and yet people are moaning. Not sure how old you are mark but 27 is not a kid.
I fail to comprehend the reaction of a number of people to these signings. Yes, people say they will give them a chance, but stress that they are "underwhelmed" - what kind of signal and welcome does it send to these players before they have even kicked a ball for the club? If you look at their backgrounds, a number were schooled at league or Premiership clubs (West Ham in one case), Waldren would be welcomed back at Bromley instantly and the youngest of the players, Sprague from Hendon, was being scouted by league clubs and made the standby list for England C. I say welcome to them all. MG and Damien Matthew know these players and are not "throwing money" at building a team.
If I recall Danny Kedwell. Alex Dyer and Ross Laffeyette were playing well down the pyramid before they came to Welling. They all turned out Ok. Give these new boys a chance!

Mr Vardy seems to be doing ok at Leicester City, Mr Arter seems to be cutting it at Bournemouth and Mr Payne has this week moved from Dover to Barnsley - a club which may yet go up via the play-offs. I know last season was a downer, probably an understatement - but please, don't let it make us cynical, seemingly unwelcoming and doubting the ability of players before they have taken to the field for us. We are Wings, we know we are better than that.

"Got to give all four lads a chance.....I certainly will" Or did you choose to ignore that part?!
No one is being unwelcoming at all but I am underwhelmed at the new recruits (so far) and that is my opinion. I am well aware that there are lots of rough diamonds down the pyramid.
Let's use another analogy. If Aston Villa had made four signings after relegation, three from Gillingham and one from Port Vale would you be convinced by that.....no I thought not.

There you go, Wingnut - second sentence. I did not ignore your statement about giving players a chance.
I would be concerned if ALL of our players were recruited from the Ryman League, but I think we have to have faith in MG and DM in as far as they have seen or know the players they have recruited from the Ryman thus far.
It's an interesting conundrum, do you go for someone who has played at a higher level but is willing to drop down a league or 2, like Mr. Wellard, or for promising players looking to move up and establish themselves at a higher level? Just have to trust that MG knows what he's doing, I'm sure he'll do better than Faz a year ago.
But it's all looking a bit defensive at the moment, we have to have some proven strikers, who can give and take a bit of buffeting up front.
