under 18 match report FYI Bruno

It was a windy winters morning on March the 12th as the dust settled from saturday nights exploits at the green court sports club in swanley. As the players rolled in at ten o clock everyone was in high spirits as they began their preparations to take on the league leaders. As the match kicked off there was an air of anticipation as erith and belvedere are league leaders somewhat undeservedly. Welling had numerous chances in the first ten minutes and the erith and belvedere manager was sweating out his early morning mcdonalds breakfast. In around about the eleventh minute good chasing from Sam 'the man' Wilson resulted in the ball landing at Max 'the spaz' Clerck's feet coming in from the left wing who proceeded to twist the full back in knots and finish with a delightful chip over the keepers head from just outside the box. It was definitely better than Bobby Folans goal earlier in the season. The erith and belvedere manager not being able to complain about that moment of brilliance as he had been complaining about the linesman all game. Welling continued the pressure with the driving force of managers Donald Muir and Andrew Clerck egging them on and a small mexican person called Bradley Brown sitting on the bench as he was complying to his ban for trying to kick lumps out of a greenwich player. Erith and belvedere had a couple of meaningless attacks which Gary 'Treebeard' Skipsey and Nick 'The toe' Muir managed to deal with. Nick by winning the ball and then 'smashing the granny' out of their strikers. It was a great first half performance capped off by a good finish from Gem 'skipjack' Tuna for wellings second goal. The half time whistle went and everyone went into the tunnel in good spirits.
As the second half kicked off it well and truly 'kicked off' a erith fan abusing the linesman from the sideline resulting in a mass brawl as most of the under 18 matches do. A small erith player who was mentally unsound started the fight then proceeded to hide in a bush till it was over. Erith pulled a goal back after this and then managed to equalise undeservedly from a cross which went straight in. The chunky number 10 for erith then decided he couldnt handle everyone calling him a fat so and so and he decided to kick out at gary skipsey who in turn complained to the referee like a big girl and the fat kid got sent off. This all happening whilst Nick was cracking up beside him. The game ended in a draw which was undesreved on eriths part. It was a good game full of incident and at times reminded me of the wwf royal rumble. The under 18s are a good side to watch with a good management team. GOODBYEEEEEEEE
