Good to be back seeing a new team onn the pitch. Was a struggle seeing so many new faces that working out who was who was a struggle!

The upstairs bar looked really good and everyone who sampled the food including myself had positive things to say about it.

A few exec lounge members I spoke to complained about the change upstairs and having a good moan. Whilst I understand there are a few more people coming upstairs (Although they are not eating upstairs) the added revenue from the food will help the club and team on the pitch. These members get a free £5 meal every home game so if you take the exec lounge price of £279, take off 21 league games and 4 pre season games of food at £5 a game you are left with £154 which between the 25 games means you get entry for just £6.20 a game. If you think that is unreasonable then I have no idea how you could ever me pleased.

Few players looked good...can't really tell against a tough opposition about a few others. Sprague was rather impressive.

Very pleased with the new exec lounge - food good too. Seating arrangements actually better, although we have apparently lost some revenue from a weekly business breakfast meeting because of the new seating format - you win some you lose some. Shame about the power failure on such a big day. Just a few adjustments needed - better airflow/air-conditioning (although nobody will be complaining in winter) and some form of soft furnishing on walls etc just to muffle the noise a mite. A small cask of real ale on the bar would have topped it for me! Otherwise, 8 out of 10 -especially as MG has only been here a couple of months or so. Bigger car park a good idea, like the big pic at the entrance. My guests very impressed.

I second that. Thought welling showed some good touches in places & a few stood out as very capable. Lounge was better and being a new lounge ticket holder was very impressed. Food was very palatable. The entrance to the ground looks great, and the new signs do too. Hats off to MG so far. shame about the few Charlton idiots but let's not dwell on that.

Would have been nice to know the starting 11 but i understand there was an electrical problem. Also does anyone know the club policy on what price to charge if someone turns up at Half Time, surely it should not be full price.

On the pitch, a reasonable performance by our chaps considering training schedule compared with Charlton.  One thing that did concern me, however, was the apparent lack of pace in the front line.

I never read too much into this game. It's all about getting cash into the club. Tuesday will be a look into our options up front. For me the big test is the game against Bromley on the 30th July.

Yes, agreed Polo. It seems that MG may have a few more player options by the time of the Bromley match.

Very early days with this squad but it was nice to see several players over the age of 21. Haven't seen that for a while. Oliver Sprague stood out for me.
