Just seen the video. Very poor decision. I've seen 3 out of the 4 matches so far and the officials are way below what I was expecting. We need to play the officials like puppets this season as we will get crucial decisions from it in our favour. I know we're not playing well but for things to 'even out' then we need to get much smarter.

Where is the evidence of said penalty??
From a distance it looked a definite pen and there was very little complaint from our lot although that could be to do with not being allowed to surround the referees any more (although I can't say i have noticed much difference in the telly games I have seen recently...)
Just as Sahr Kabba got a suspension after a post match review for the Tranmere sending off, the rules need to be changed so that players can be suspended when it comes to light that a penalty has been awarded for simulation.
Although the player in this case has tripped as opposed to dived, he still hasn'5 admitted the trip to the referee. Although I doubt any of our players would own up to that either. As others have pointed out, it's amazing that none of our players protested against the penalty.

The only thing you can't be sure of at that angle is whether our player's shin doesn't just catch the player's trailing leg and knock him off balance so he kicks himself.

I was sat with a mate in the stand opposite the camera, and in real time it looked like there was slight contact with Banton's shin but it was accidental.
