So a loss of 2-1

Another penalty. I reckon that's 7 in 8 now. At least we are consistent

Surely someone has to address this. Its costing goals and points.

Its no good getting new players if we keep conceeding unless we are going to elimate the culprit(s)

Good end to end game.
Cannot doubt effort.
The difference was Dartford brought on three pairs of fresh legs in the last twenty, whereas we thought we could soldier on with what we already had out there.
Great result against Concord, but we should have matched them (Dartford) in the final quarter with substitutes.
A touch unfortunate, but managerial slackness cost us in my opinion.

Not great that we conceded a penalty, however from my view the Dartford Striker would have scored if he had not been fouled. Credit to Adam Coombes for a superb free-kick afterwards.

A big well done though to the players on a great shift, workrate cannot be faulted and to lose that game was very harsh. Easily the better side tonight.

Morgan is yet to come in and with a bit of tweeking and still aome more work needed on the fitness, we have signs of a decent team.

If you were a neutral it was a great game of football, very harsh to lose and players put in a good shift. Play that game 10 times you win four lose four draw two. Need to kick on and get a win at home saturday.

Bollox IMO.. we created zero chances in 90 minutes. Pinged in a worldie free kick. Not a chance created in open play. No threat  in 18 yard box.

Play that 10 times get 13 points? Bollox. If we have that free kick 100 times we score maybe 4 or 5 teams. We don't score cos we are ****.

We lose that 9/10 cos we can't score and we always concead cos our defence is **** and we always concead a goal. Cos defence is a liability. We lose 1-0 9/10 for that reason.

1 win in 9. Cos we are ****.

Don't do enough to win a game. Can always lose it. Yet again weosr by the odd game against a **** team. Funny how the other team always get that odd goal. Cos we are **** with **** defenders that give **** goals away. **** attackers that can't make the difference.

Can we stay up? I don't know. But let's ****ing bring this relegation battle in

BTW 8 penalties in 9 games or what ever it is, is down to **** defenders. Not luck. Just pure ****..

Walker for Corne?
Nelson for Williams?
Ha ha ha
Embarrassing

If people want to clap players off after game I totatally respect that. For all I care they cna give them blow jobs. Totally up to them.

Bit for me clapping off is a sign that this is acceptable. It's not it's ****ing ****. Relegation zone after 9 games. 1 win in 9. It's ****ing ****. A total disgrace ..

Tonight was ****ing ****. End of IMO

Rant over.

PS all this was obvious after 2 games.as I said at time.

Disagree with that also. Hard to look now if you want like what you see before game happened.

Plus I support team no matter what for minutes 1-90. After that I will pop them out on fans forum if i see fit

Dartford were their for the taking tonight, that was two evenly matched teams which was always going to be seperated by a moment of magic and unfortunately it went against us. We did look very powder puff tonight, it has to be said, however their is no doubt the new additions have improved us especially Fuseini. But in terms of success this season that's well and truly a right off for me, I can see us heading to mid table security come April to which some would say was a success, I say a massive failure.

I think that's a bit harsh Shuttle. I applauded the players off because off the workrate and the effort put in. I'm used to Welling losing games pre Daisy, and I have no problem with losing a game, as long as the players have put in a decent shift.

It's going to be a long season but for the next couple of years it's about building the facilities off the pitch and getting more revenue streams in. Then the club can start to move forward.

It's very easy to critise one one win in nine.

Hard to praise a win over bottom of the league Concord Rangers, as quite frankly I expect better of Welling United that lording a victory over fellow relegation candidate in this shooy.divison.

I am struggling to see 12  more wins & a few draws required to stay up, which is a disgrace. Anything less than at least flirting with play offs is a huge failure for me this season.

I thought we played reasonably well, without pulling up tree stumps. The minute they brought on Hayes I feared for that special ball, and it happened. We probably did enough for a point, that was all apart from a worldy free kick. That international clearance cannot come soon enough. I thought Dan Walker caused them lots of problems - a shame he had run out of steam.  Two strikers injured, another one awaiting clearance - a shame we did not have a Jonte Smith to bring on in the last 15 minutes.

So after the win and climbing to the dizzy heights of 3rd from bottom, we loose the local derby and slip back down again. The season is passing us by, 9 matches gone and the usual excuses keep getting rolled out. A few weeks ago MG was talking about a playoff spot, now the target, once again, has to be survival! But at least it was a better performance so perhaps there is still some hope?

I saw, and had a brief chat, with Ade Pennock

and Phil Handford at the match last night. Always a delight to meet them. I reckon they were either taking in a match, doing a bit of scouting, gearing up for the Ebbsfleet job - when, or if, it becomes available - or, could it be...... surely not?

Frustration is the overriding feeling from last night.

Started slowly and conceded the obligatory penalty. Second part of the first half we controlled the game - nice short passing through midfield although we did lack a final ball and didn't test the keeper enough. Cracking equaliser and at half time there only looked to be one team in it. Sluggish start to the second half with passes going astray and then we started going too long and looking for the wonder pass instead of repeating what we did in the first half. D******* are not pretty to watch but effective at what they do and we really played into their hands the longer the game went on. Then they bring Ryan Hayes on. He must be about 90 by now but always plays wide right, always cuts inside and has always had a sweet left foot. His right leg is for standing on and he doesn't really have any pace. Everybody in Kent football knows this apart from our management team and left back it seems?! Cuts inside and delivers one ball to the back post and it's 2-1 and then another left foot cross and it's almost three. Maybe we didn't do enough to win the game in the end but we certainly shouldn't have lost it.

We are not getting beaten by the opposition but basically beating ourselves at the moment. Oxford City, Bishops Stortford, St Albans and now D****** - all games that should never have been lost and nearly all the wounds self inflicted...

We have two home games in the coming week and we need to get the home form started. if we play like we did at Concord and in the first half last night (with an end product) we will be fine. Hopefully we will have a full bench to pick from by then as well....

I thought you were the better passing side for most of the game. As for Ryan Hayes, yeh everyone knows his strengths So maybe should of just shoved him on his right foot outside rather than let him cut in. From an outsiders perspective maybe you just need a cutting edge and not give away silly penalties. Could of gone either way Ryan Hayes made the difference like he can. Thought you were unfortunate

Certainly frustrating that there keeps being glimpses of hope then another defeat.

But there are still (almost) 100 points to be played for if we get half of them we'll be comfortably safe, if we win a third of them we may still be safe with over 40 but it would be a gamble. So with a few less penalties and a few more chances going in we can still pull clear of the drop zone.

Just hang in there.

we were perhaps the better team but our defence is woeful. Dartford were very poor and we basically gave the game away. Better effort and more fight but I question the manager with Dartford rolling out fresh legs. We could put Archie Johnson on and got him to run at them. too many over hit balls wide when there was a lot of space in the middle if our players were more direct. Surely a past it Slabber could have been given 5 mins(dont think he was on the bench and couldnt hear the team anyway). But why do Dartford have wanadio when he was fairly impressive for us last season-we just can never get it right, we let Williams go for nothing didnt we?

The fresh legs bit is what I was trying to suggest on yesterday's post.

In This league, to play the kind of end to end football that was played last night requires a great deal of fitness.

Dartford used all of theirs and that was the difference.

i couldn't care less who was on the bench, an additional sub or two could have prevented that defeat.
