Marmite will hopefully be giving me updates as he is there today but any scores will be much appreciated, as in Spain atm. Cheers, FC

Was always going to be a tricky game but as others have said "a win's a win". Plus that's at least £4,500 prize money in the bank (based on 15/16 prize fund). Ka-ching!

A professional job done today. Could and should have been out of sight by half time but the keeper making a few good saves amd us being a wasteful meant it was 0-0 at the break.

2nd half we took our goals well and had another chalked off. Awful tackle by their player which was rightfully given a Red card.

4.5k in the bank and onto Monday's draw.

Good display in the first half where we just needed to be more clinical in front of goal. Despite the poor surface we passed the ball well and cut through them a few times but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.

Second half we started sluggishly and the home side missed one very good chance. We seemed to stop passing the ball which had led to all those first half chances and our offside trap appeared to be working more by luck than judgement at times - not sure we would get away with that in a league game to be honest. A neat goal from the corner and, after the sending off, we saw the game out quite comfortably. Although he wasn't under great pressure I thought Archie Johnson did well in an unfamiliar role at left back. I also think it is worth considering Waldren as the permanent captain in the future...?? I hope the latest injuries are not serious and with one game a week for a while now (cup replays apart) we will hopefully have a bigger pool of players to select from over the next few weeks.

The Cup is all about winning and progression and, in our case, a few quid in the bank. Hopefully another kind draw later and we can go further.

Up the Wings!

I didn't make the game but have watched the WingsTV highlights. As already mentioned it should have been all over at half time. On another day we would of been 3 or 4 up. I have to say that I'm really impressed by Coombes,Morgan,Delle Verde and PJD. as our attackers. We're creating so many more chances now. Last season against Barwell and Grays we struggled to make one or two chances in those away games. Lets hope the squad train well this week and go down to Poole in confident mood.
