A very good performance going forward and in all honesty it should have 9 or 10.
Coombes took his goals well and his 5th goal was a cracker.
I can't believe i'm saying this after winning 7-1 but the defence still worried me. Next week at home to the league leaders will be a lot tougher than today.
Well done to the team again, great performance, and in the draw for the next round.

Very happy tonight, despite the rain and hail a great performance going forward.
some great goals and a fine team effort, next week the opposition will be a different class of course but let's enjoy today and keep our fingers crossed for the next round draw.
What I enjoyed was the fact that the team still argued amongst each other about a defensive mishap at 4-1 up.
That showed commitment in my eyes.
Onwards and upwards.
You have to say Coombes knows how to put away a chance or two. The best finisher since...... Christ knows. I know I know the opposition but just in front of goal he strikes the ball so sweetly. He just has confidence and makes the keeper commit then slots it passed. What a lovely player to watch.
John Bartley scored six away to Banstead Athletic in the Kingsmead Athenian League in the late 70s, Welling won 7-1. I remember it well as it was a Tuesday night, I was a little anklebiter and a Banstead player broke his leg which caused a lengthy delay. It was the latest I'd ever got home!

Minus the result I really enjoyed my trip to Welling, all the fans and people I met were top notch! Good luck in the next round, hope the draw is kind to you :)
Thanks my friend. The final score didn't show how well your lads played. You're not a bad side at all. Especially liked your Number 10. I afraid you met us on one of our good days. Good luck to you for the rest of the season too.
Congrats to the team for a comprehensive win and kudos to Adam Coombes for his six goals - I don't think I ever saw God score that many in one game. A few quid in the bank for the club and fingers crossed that we get a favourable draw later today in the next round.
It might appear churlish to think of any criticism after a 7-1 victory but I am afraid I can still find some! Despite the vast gulf between the sides our "defenders" both individually and collectively are just not doing an adequate job. it would appear that Nelson is the one being hung out to dry (not only by supporters but by management too...) and, whilst he has been poor most of the season, he is not the only issue we have. In their defence (ha ha) I will say that they don't get a lot of protection in front of them at times from the midfield but they still look all over the place at times. We might get away with it against the Swindon Supermarines and Whyteleafes of this world but Maidenhead next week (and plenty of others) will not be quite so generous. Our right back seems to want to play as a third centre half every week and leaves acres of space down the wing whilst, if our left back backed off and gave his winger any more room, I would be tempted to charge him 12 quid for watching the game. The centre halves are being caught out by simple long balls down the channels and there seems to be a lack of communication between all four of them.
Credit where credit is due - MG has changed four of the regular midfield/forwards since the season started and it has been a significant upgrade on what we started with. However, as I understand Allen is not around any more, we seem to have just 5 defenders in a squad of about 87 and none of those have changed from day one?! If I am being honest, at National South level, I am not convinced by any of them.
Bartley scored six in the first half of a cup tie versus Wandsworth. Only for the game to be abandoned at half time due to fog. Welling won the rearranged game 1-0

George Allen was there on Saturday and is almost ready to start his comeback. It appears that he will go out on loan to get match fit and will then compete for a starting place.
