Some good attacking options and we appear on paper to be better-but defence is an issue. I think its now time to get in another manager or Mr Day(if he is avaliable) to work with some really good attacking options. I believe MG will save our club off the field but not on it. I understand he enjoys the whole manager thing but our team arent winning and we are loosing to inferior teams
My concern is that MG is not taking a wage as manager. Another manager means another wage into the club and therefore another player or 2 going out.
There needs to be a serious look at the coaching as there is a lack of shape, finess and simple mistakes. Defenders letting the ball bounce, clearing balls across our own area.
I do believe that we are only a player or 2 away from having a very good side. We just need to work on some basics.

yes If you look at how we play we can dominate and play some really good football but inferior teams keep snatching wins and what is frustrating is the the hard work of the team means nothing and another ****e team goes away from PVR after stealing a win-how long will it go on?

Before I start please understand that.....I can only comment one the games I have seen so far this season..!!
My concern is that MG is not taking a wage as manager. --
From what i've seen his choices as a manager have not been good whether he is paid or not.
Playing players out of position, strange substitutions (today when losing taking off a forward, bringing
on Archie with 2 minutes or so left, Central midfielders rotating on the wing) loaning out players then not enough to fill
a bench. These are poor desicions by any manager and similar to the probs we had with Mr. J. Brown
IF MG was to own the club would he be getting paid then.?
Just out of curiosty was he self appointed as manager.?
Another manager means another wage into the club and therefore another player or 2 going out.....
Or Stop MG bringing in players that cant play within the system he is trying to play.
Pay him a wage then and get rid of the dead wood (harsh I know) but Nelson could go for one and i don't think
everyone will be missing him + A.N.Other.
lack of shape ............ This is Decided by the Unpaid One !
simple mistakes......Fuseini passing skills today was a major breakdown in the Wings play as was last week.
I do believe that we are only a player or 2 away from having a very good side.......
The thing is as you have already stated If The Manager wants paying then he needs to release a couple of players.
The same would surely apply with this statement too.
PS.... What is Finess .!! (I know it should be Fitness as Loose Should be Lose.)
I think we need to be looking at a manager who has experience of fighting battles at the wrong end of the conference south. Someone who is going to fire some energy and passion into not just the players but MG himself. We've got some talented individuals but really need to find a winning formula not only on the pitch but also in the dugout.
Speaking to one of the lads after the game it seems the mystery man who was present for our three cup wins can't be at the games or training anymore as he has been made caretaker somewhere else but by all accounts MG is desperate to bring him in. I'm still none the wiser who he is!?
I don't know anyone who would decline a quality job done for free. Anything less and you then have to decide what is more important to you, the saving or the quality.
That said, given some of the recruitment we have thus far done, there are no guarantees we'd get it right.
Well believe it or not we are a third of the way through the season and have only won 2 league games, we are second to bottom of the league and in for a relegation battle that I cannot see us winning as things are. It's not so long ago that MG was saying he expected his team to be challenging for a playoff spot, clearly that's all a pipe dream. He also said he'd move upstairs, and bring in a manager, if he couldn't get things right on the pitch. Time is I think already run out if we are to turn things around.
The problem is that a new manager will need a few games and some cash to turn things around, we don't have the time to wait any longer!
But on the positive side some of the play against Maidenhead was excellent, and although we lost, unluckily, is was the most enjoyable game I've watched at PVR for quite a while.

You seem infatuated with this mystery man whom you know everything about bar his name. I do not believe MG to be desperate to bring in this unknown coach but i do believe him to be looking at experienced managers from above the level this mystery man has worked at before briefly at the wrong end of the table.
.....and then have the merry go round of "time to bed in", "just getting to know the players", "player starting to buy into managers thinking", "need to freshen things up" etc etc etc etc...... not to mention the cost. What's the point.
MG has been around a long time, he and the players go into this mess, they're the ones who'll have to get out of it!
In today's climate a lot of Managers would have gone by now with this season's record. It might be wishful thinking but can't help feeling the right fresh face in the managerial hotseat might be able to get more out of a number of the players.
