This is something that Mark had discussed on Saturday but it couldn't be made public on here. That's why when people were saying we needed someone to come in I was getting a bit frustrated, as MG has given this topic a lot of thought.
In my opinion Daisy is the greatest manager the club has ever had so bringing him back is a fantastic move.
Welcome back Jamie!

Those who said MG had an ego and would never bring in someone are now spitting their coffee on their screens, Well done to Mark for adding to his management team and welcome back to Jamie.
Now lets get up the league and prepare to start going places.
Fantastic news on Jamie, just what the "Wings" needed. The club and Jamie have been through turbulent times since he left, The club and Jamie have become a lot wiser over this period. MG has made a great impression/impact on the club, and he must be admired for his honesty. We have all witnessed the changes in the ground, but this was not matched on the playing side, even though MG thought he was signing players who would turn the club around. He's been badly let down by some players, we now have Jamie who will have the time, know how, devotion and the enthusiasm to turn the playing side around. MG will now be able to concentrate and spend more time on the development of the club which he's already outlined.
I think the partnership of MG and JD once bedded in, will be a great benefit for the Team, Supporters and the Community. The Hobbin's family started a Dynasty , let's hope Mark is the start of a new era for the club. All the news has been about Ebbsfleet and Dartford recently, when they start looking at the revolution at "Park View" they will have some cause for concern

the way I see this new arrangement is that MG has brought in a fan favourite to appease the fans but nothing has actually changed.
If we carry on doing poorly then he has someone else to blame but if things go well he will take the credit...

Jamie Day is unparralled at Welling, as we all know. He has only really had success at Welling and you might say, failed elsewhere (FGR = £££)
MG has won promotion a couple of times and managed successful clubs and runs.
In my view, the backroom team just doubled in skill and experience, regardless of the job titles.

Damned if he does......damned if he doesn't.
Lots of people have called for change and this is a positive change.
Time will tell who has what roles but personally I am a lot happier about our chances of improving on the pitch than I was this morning.
oh I understand now. Well it needs someone who cant fight this league out. We have really exciting attacking options but sludge in the defence. some good guys like Fish but we need galvanising

I'm double happy. Interesting MG says he's failed to give enough of his time due to work elsewhere at the club, which has been good. Possibly paves the way for future Chairmanship, with a natural manager I'm the 'wings' and assistant.
Jamie took this club from bottom to top with minimal resources and all sorts of public airing of financial nonsense. Imagine if Jamie can manage with a 21st century commercial operation in the background!

I believe it will be positive. However I will be doubly impressed if it is all milk and honey immediately. He is not working with the same backroom team as before, he doesnt necessarily know the players (I suspect we still had some he played with when he last arrived), he cannot now dictate changes from on the pitch and after his last three appointments, if he didnt harbour some self doubts he would not be human.
What we can say is that he is a pretty determined bloke with every incentive to make it work again as I dont think other chances are going to be ten a penny at this point and by whatever chemistry he did manage to get the talented and the hard workers playing for him last time. He could spot the talent but had the better knack of working out those who would deliver it most of the time.
If we storm up the league you will not see me complaining but I doubt anyone is going to get us to do that as we have the top half of the league as the next part of the cycle.Gradual improvement beckons I hope.
