Some strange decisions from the ref, we should certainly have had at least 1 penalty, and even the away supporters next to us agreed a couple of the free kicks should have gone the other way.
But when things go against you, you just have to keep fighting till the final whistle. We created some good chances and they were very lucky at times. However to give away such a soft goal right at the end is depressing.
unless we start putting some better 95 minute performances in we will be going down again!
very difficult to keep trying to be positive week after week, when the results stay so dismal
We got what we deserved today. Nothing. Not sure about their sending off. If they had kept 11 on the pitch they would of won at a canter. They were fitter, faster and wanted it more. As usual we threw away what would of been a lucky point with our usual comedy defending. Getting really pissed off going to PVR (The Car Wash) to watch us lose time after time now. This crap run has to stop.
It looked at the end we were playing out for a draw
We need to learn how to play out the remaining last quarter of the game. I've lost count of the number of games we have lost by conceding a stupid goal in the last five minutes or given away a needless penalty somewhere in the game
If it wasn't for the defensive mistakes we would be mid table

Perhaps true but lets not pretend that there are not still problems further forward. Waldren and Hatton don't get into the box enough, LDV rarely passes the ball, Morgan is not a winger and shows no interest in playing as one, Nanetti does n't look like scoring a goal and gives away naive stupid fouls whist Coomes seems to have picked up the disease from others of moaning and whining for the whole game when things are n't going his way. In the absence of anyone else scoring a goal from open play he also needs to stay in the box rather than the wide areas.
This team is not without talented individuals but as a team, sadly, we remain a gutless pathetic shambles.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh When the Wingssssss
It was a case of not shutting up shop once again and be content with a point. This was the fourth time this season, we were good for a draw but in the last few minutes lost to a defensive error with not being under too much pressure.
It's fine to go forward and try to win the game but with minutes to go, but you must be aware a game could be lost if you don't hold the ball up front and be prone to a counter-attack. There were too many haphazard passes and crosses in the final third that went amiss when shielding the ball would be enough.
Still, with an extra man, we should have seen the game out and earn a valuable point.
Bishops Stortford, Hemel Hempstead, Poole Town, Whitehawk, Gosport Borough and now £bbsfl££t. All league games where we have thrown away point(s) in the dying stages (if you want to be pedantic you can include East Thurrock and Maidenhead who also scored fairly late goals against us) So effectively SIX GAMES OUT OF SEVENTEEN FFS where we have conceded a very late goal. is it tiredness/lack of fitness? Is it lack of concentration? Is it simply that our players are not good enough? My feeling is that it may well be a bit of all three?! For it to happen once or twice might be unlucky but this is not once or twice - in fact it is three of the last four games. Saturday might just be the worst of the lot as their bloke was looking to kill time and yet still escaped from the corner flag, picked out a player totally unmarked who put away the goal comfortably. Who was it who had the extra man for over half the game again....??
I actually felt that we competed quite well 11 v 11 and Coombes had a couple of chances first half where he should have at least tested the keeper. However once again in the second half we didn't do nearly enough to even try and win the game. The tempo was so slow and nobody took hold of the game and tried to dictate things and move them around despite them being a man down. I thought some of our lot were auditioning for that walking football that is advertised quite a lot on the telly these days. it almost felt like a pre-season friendly as we passed the ball from side to side with no penetration at all. Hatton, aside from a couple of dead balls, watched the game pass him by. The left winger should go on Mastermind as he can't/won't pass and I had forgotten that the right winger was even out there such was his reluctance to get involved. We then introduced our 25th left winger in the squad who might actually be a right winger as he cut back that way so often. Having said that had any decent balls come into the box chances are there would probably only be one red shirt at best to try and get on the end of it...
I am off to Hungerford tonight hoping (or should that be praying) for a result. maybe if I ask nicely the kind chap driving me home will leave five minutes before the end so I can at least pretend for a few minutes that we actually got a half decent result...
