Any chance we might get some one day....??

Our "interim management team" - are they still interim?? are they here until the end of the season?? Are we still actively looking for a manager?? Or, as I suspect, is MG back pulling the strings with a couple of yes men fronting it...

Nothing about the departure of Christian Nanetti - the first we get told is a throw away line in the post match interview on Saturday.

Nothing on the official site about the arrival of Tom Richards.

And to top it off nothing about the departure of our top goalscorer despite there being pictures/reports all over a National newspaper all about it.

I am starting to get the impression that the supporters are an irrelevance at our club at the moment. Lest we forget it wasn't that long ago that we bailed the club out of the s**t. The Hobbins were never the greatest communicators but compared to the current regime....

NOT GOOD ENOUGH....NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT ALL.

There's been plenty of communication about the relaunch of the geriatrics disco.

Rather less about why it needed a relaunch, though.

Communication through all expected channels is total bollocks.
On the terraces info is given but cannot considered true.
I find Mr. Roots will tell you what in can so long as it's not confidential.
If the club say its confidential fans are ****ed for information

I almost choked on my cornflakes when I read Wingnuts post this morning.

Communication from the Club is, and in my experience always has been, very hit and miss at best and on occasion with different messages being given by the left and right hand.  This despite the undertaking that there would be better communication made by Barrie Hobbins in August 2010 when he wanted the fans to find the necessary to stop the Club being wound up.

However, for a member of the Supporters Association Committee to lay into the Club when it is just as guilty, if not more so, of failing to communicate with its membership beggars belief.

It is no secret that I have long been critical of WUSAs failure to communicate with its membership and as most know I eventually gave up trying to get the situation rectified and allowed my membership to lapse.  My understanding from those who have retained their membership is that since the AGM in 2016 there has not been a single supporters association meeting nor any newsletter comnmunication.  This despite the heaviest turmoil in the club since 2010.

Dare I say it YES, whilst not great and of late getting worse, there has actually been more communication from the Club in the last 6 months than WUSA members have had from their committee despite having a representative on the board who obviously knows what is happening.

It increasingly seems to me that supporters are not only regarded as an irrelevance by the Club but by their Association too.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH.NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT ALL.

Sorry to pi$$ on your cornflakes but I am no longer a member of the WUSA committee.

However I do know that WUSA does try to get information for its members I am sure you have heard of the expression involving blood and stones etc...etc...I can also inform you that there have been WUSA meetings since the last AGM but don't let the facts get in the way.

The information I am after all relates to the playing side (as well you know) and that is not something WUSA is privy too nor responsible for.

The communication from the club unless you are over 30 and fancy a bunk up is worse than most ryman league sides. It really is embarrassing.

What on earth is there to communicate on?

Top scorer leaving,
New players signing,
Chairman standing down,
New ownership,
Resignation of previous successful manager and his "consultant",
Planning permission updates.

No board meetings, no supporter meetings. Radio silence.

Nope, I can't think of any reason to communicate anything to the fans.

Only regular news that comes out of the club are the "management" interviews from the yes men, and the Friday night leg over gang.

and from WUSA, a player of the month vote.

Sssssshhhhhh.

 I meant WUSA committee meetings.

On members meetings I may stand, or rather sit, corrected.

From my point of view, i'm about as much in the know about planning permission as everyone else is. Not a clue! If news isn't being filtered down from above to WUSA then what is there to communicate? We can't communicate much if there isn't anything to communicate.  Yes we need to get in a supporters meeting and that is long overdue, and for that apologies. It's been difficult getting everyone together for a meeting and we are hoping to announce a date for a meeting very shortly. The meeting will be an open meeting for any supporter of Welling United not just those of WUSA and we will be asking Mark Goldberg to come along and answer questions that you may have. This then will hopefully give clarity around any of the issues regarding players, ground plans etc. Please bare with us as we work with MG to get a date agreed.

I do agree the communication needs to better and that the Welling United facebook page needs to be about on pitch matters with signings, goal updates, team news, etc and that the Friday night event details need to have it's own page called Wings sports bar or something similar.

Planning permission is ongoing last time I asked Mr. Roots at Hemel Hempstead away.
It takes time to get everything in place or not.

Sorry to pi$$ on your cornflakes but I am no longer a member of the WUSA committee.

Didn't fancy the cornflakes anyway.  The fact that people I have spoken to were not aware that you are no longer on the Committee somewhat proves my point about failure to communicate.

.....I can also inform you that there have been WUSA meetings since the last AGM but don't let the facts get in the way.

Shame that the facts are somewhat embarrassing to WUSA but thank you for confirming that as I had been told there has not been a WUSA members meeting since the AGM in July 2016.

The information I am after all relates to the playing side (as well you know) and that is not something WUSA is privy too nor responsible for.

As we are all aware subsequent to the saving of the Club by supporters in 2010 a CIC was formed in 2012 and the duly elected Chairman of WUSA became a Director of the Club in accord with the stated policy of more transparency.  Do you really expect me to believe that the duly elected supporters representative on the Board has no idea what is going on both on and off of the field?  Has there really been nothing he could feed back to the membership in the last 7 months?

I look forward to your on the pitch reports Wingnut.  Certainly the most incisive and honest post match assessments.

"Didn't fancy the cornflakes anyway. The fact that people I have spoken to were not aware that you are no longer on the Committee somewhat proves my point about failure to communicate."

He only left last Thursday. This was to be brought up at the upcoming meeting (when a date is set) as we also hope to announce a new treasurer and committee member at the same time.

Shame Wingnut's response gave the impression that he hadn't been a committee member for a while thereby intentionally or otherwise attempting to undermine the point I was making.

Isn't there a minimum amount of meetings in the WUSA constitution that must take place on an annual basis?

Has Adam Coombes definitely gone? Why would the club hold back this communication. They've haven't a problem about publishing news of Nanetti's departure and the signing of two loan signings. It doesn't make sense.

Sutton haven't put anything on their site or twitter account either. It's been over 24 hours since the news leaked!

Communication lock down due to seven day approach as can't be confirmed yet?

That said one of the management team seemed to confirm it the other day from what I read.

Nothing should appear on either website until all the paperwork is completed. I believe that is expected to go through today, after which, I'm sure the announcement will be made.
