Hard earned point.
Don't usually encourage slagging a player but when Slabber got a yellow for talking back to the referee for frustration, had to laugh when the shout went up "keep it up Slabber, you might get another".
Can only play the hand you're dealt and no matter what you think of the managerial duo, they got the best out of all of them tonight.
Close run game but I thought we created better chances...our defence awesome despite octopus tactics by their fouling w*nker forwards.....their keeper kept them in it.....encouraging overall....Alex reminded me of Tashan...but had glimpses of better feet.........fingers crossed........COYW !!

Wtf are you talking about. Fouling forwards. You really are rose tinted.

We showed heart tonight and created some good pressure. Had Dartford defenders defending for all they were worth. Both keepers made a couple of good saves. We were worth a point and would have won if Deren didn't pull off a couple of cracking saves.
Rose tinted is where you are inanely positive above and beyond the facts and the reality...its the opposite of what I've said ......i'm being pure negative about your forwards......IMHO they were arms on and fouling all game...poor...they didn't need to do it...they were obviously scared of Ricky..but that's not surprising
When Ali Fuseini was shown a yellow card for a perfectly clean tackle, that was only Welling's second 'foul' of the whole match while Dartford were already in double figures.
Well I feared the worst before kick off last night but was happy to be proved wrong. However we need to replicate that effort week in week out and not turn it on and off like a tap.
Defensively we dealt with them quite well. Apart from a few occasions when they tried to play through Wanadio, you know with "Burmanball" that it is going to be one dimensional hoofball for most of the night. We gave away a few too many set pieces for my liking but Lewington, apart from having to make one excellent save, and the back four (apart from Fish having a mad 20 minutes in the second half??) dealt with their tactics well.
Waldren and Fuseini battled hard in the middle - you know that the former will give you 100% every week but I was impressed with the latter's workrate and the numbers of headers and tackles that he won. If there was one major disappointment on the night (or two if you count starting with Slabber) it was that the two loan wingers were largely ineffective and didn't cause enough problems. When Walker was introduced he was much more of a threat simply by running at them - I have said before on here that he is not (and never will be) an out and out striker but he is certainly a threat playing as a right winger and I think he should be given a run in that position. And introducing Crawford to play in a wide left role was a strange one as well??
Quite which one of the brains trust decided to start with Slabber is a mystery and you could see how gutted the D******* players were when he got subbed. Thassalitis showed up well and would have been the hero but for a great save buy their keeper in injury time. He got stuck in, won his fair share of headers and generally put himself about. He had a few efforts on goal but his control let him down on one in the second half when he should have been in on goal. The other new bloke reminded me a bit of Tashan in his size and physique........let's hope the comparisons stop there....
All in all an encouraging night when we might have taken all three points with a bit of luck. The target now has to be to produce this level of effort and committment week in week out (especially away from home) starting with an important game on Saturday.
I can't agree with other posters on here about Jamie Slabber. I thought he put himself about well and both him and Thassalitis held the ball up well. I know Slabber has been a disastrous signing but it seems he'll be with us at least until the end of the season and if he's working hard we should get behind him. At his age and with his injuries and lack of match practice this season he's obviously going to be lacking a bit of sharpness and lacking (any) pace but he can still be a threat. Thassalitis with his pace, height and ability has all the attributes to be a great player at this level but judging by how many clubs he's had at just 24 I wonder whether the problem is with his attitude and commitment?
I thought the wingers were disappointing and could have taken a leaf from Burman's Dartford book of looking to get it 'in the mixer' as quickly as possible. Dan Walker played well when he came on and probably deserves a run of games in his favored position on the right.
Ali Fuseni played well and hopefully he will challenge Sam Hatton for a starting place. I don't think I'd keep either player for next season unless there is a dramatic improvement in their performances.
For me Jordan Brown was our MotM. I'm not sure what Concord did to him on his month on loan there in November but he's come back a different player.
All in all a decent performance that could have yielded 3 points but we'll take the point. On to the arse end of Brighton on Saturday.
COYW.

I thought Slabber had a decent first half and Hayles is my man of the match for the majority of games I see.
A spirited performance against a reasonable opponent with us having the better chances which is a compliment to our defence. Once again thwarted by a goalkeeper - Waldren must wonder what he has to do to score!
The challenge is to turn up in bread and butter games particularly away ones.
I thought the team battled well and we would have had more than a point if it were not for some missed chances and some excellent goalkeeping. Overall pleased with the result

I think your team are soft, we're not dirty we battle but so should of you, it's a derby for god sake!
Im under no illusion you were the better team and deserved to win but if you fought harder you might of.
If we're away and I work Saturday morning I often come to PVR to watch. I think you have a decent side, I knew it would be difficult for us.
