Alex Cathline has signed a contract with the Wings until the end of the 2017-18 season. I'm not sure I like this but good luck to him

Very good news. He totally destroyed the defence of Poole Town in the first half. Big lad, strong, good first touch and most importantly seems to have a great workrate - think he will develop rather nicely. Welcome Alex!

Really not sure I've seen what other forumites have in Alex but wish him well nonetheless.

Should we be signing players without a manager for next year is the bigger question.

This must be good news to have him on contract, he's a player who will, I think, improve so if he is snapped up like Coombes the club should get a few quid.

Very pleased about this. Now Alex has to knuckle down and continue to improve his game - as he has done in previous performances. I just hope MG has more luck than of late in his search for a goalscorer - a nippy one who can feed off of Alex  - hopefully before Saturday (no pressure!)

Gr8 to see we have learned from Nannetti & Coombes & put this obvious talent on a contract. Hopefully it is at least a 2 year deal if not longer.

Wouldn't be surprised if he surpasses Tarpey's record for goal in a season next year
