I always believe early business helps. The minute you know what league you're in next season, should be the minute you start to pin down what you want to keep and take forward.

It's out of our hands to influence it so I guess we will have to wait and see but it does not help with deciding if any players will return next season, or snapping up those released by other clubs.
I'm sure when the manager has decided who he wants to appoint to act as manager the manager will announce who he has decided will be man who is going to act as manager next season. Couldn't be simpler really. Unless he decides to reappoint himself as manager without a acting manager of course. Either way it amounts to the same thing
Yes, the phrase no news is good news doesn't apply here, I'd have thought something must have happened over the last couple of weeks worthy of telling the "loyal" fan base, perhaps we've all been released as well? Or MG is waiting until after the election? Or the results of Brexit? or the next eclipse? Or ...................
Perhaps MG and/or some of the players he wants to speak to about staying and/or coming in are currently on holiday??
I would hope/pray that there were all on one season deals anyway so would suspect they are all "free agents" and not necessarily ours to release??
However I read from the last Dyer interviews that discussions were taking place days after the KSC final so would have expected some news, one way or another, on that score.
My guess is that Alex Dyer and Mark Goldberg did not reach an agreement and that we are now looking for a new manager. Should that be the case, and assuming the new manager is given the responsibility of recruitment, I cannot see that any player news can be forthcoming.
I cannot recall Welling ever naming a retained list, as such. Normally, players accepting new contracts are announced in dribs and drabs, as and when they are signed.

They should be impervious to criticism after we have won the World Club Cup and Charity Shield the year after we win the treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. Until then...
If they paid for some work to be done by a lower cost plumber they would still expect a job done to standard commensurate with what they were paying. Why is football any different?
