Interesting! And with a Director of football as well. Maybe MG is actually letting go of the playing side of the club, and concentrating on the business side.
Welcome back Jack Parkinson as player/coach as well!
Very happy with this, Jamie is regarded as an excellent coach and will have plenty of contacts in football. As well as 2 great coaches, we also have 2 very good players!

Happy. And I don't think my happiness smacks of despiration given there have been times where I'd literally take anyone or anything. Tristan and MG at the top for continuity, 2 good, well respected and no nonsense defenders dropping a level to play in the South, with early signs they have started to become promising coaches. I'm sure there will be a wealth of players (young and experienced) who will want to play under these guys. I wasn't convinced Dyer had the will or the connections to make a lengthy contribution but thanks to him for being honest and...getting us over the line!
Yes, Thanks to Alex Dyer but I think it needed to be a complete new start. Sweep away the crap that was last season. Both Jamie and Jack have played this level and the one above for Kent teams. Between them they must have a very decent contacts book. I look forward to seeing how the new Squad takes shape. First job is to get Lewington signed. I'm hoping the Player of the season curse doesn't strike again!
Good luck to Jamie Jack Tristan.
Let's hope Mr. Goldberg leaves them to it and does not interfere.
Mr. Goldberg & Mr roots can now concentrate on all other non football projects
Seems a very good appointment. Read many comments and Jamie seems to be held in very high regard within the game. Alex Dyer kept us up so we thank him big time for stepping in. Can only assume he and Goldberg could not come into agreement but on reflection, think I prefer the outcome that had happened. Onwards and upwards! Come on you Wings!
Come next season when Jamie & Jack are on the field of play. Who do you suppose will be on the touch line coaching and making the substitutions, Tristan Lewis and ?
From what MG has said Tristan looks after quite a lot at the club from 1st team through to academy and scouting. Traditional 'Director of Football' has been all about slinging an old manager upstairs or someone totally focussed on transfers. It's about time the role matched its title with a hands on approach which I'm sure Tristan is good at.
It's unlikely they'll both play every game, let's not worry and await more interesting news of new signings from their contact list. Anthony Acheampong? Yes please!
Someone i know who has played with coyle racked up a impressive list of playes that coyle has supposedly been in touch with. I await the news with high anticipation.
Also said that coyle has a rather impressive list of contacts.
An interesting and positive interview, but with a reduced budget and a first team squad of just 14 means we'll be reliant on academy & on-loan players to cover injuries and suspensions. so it's quality rather than quantity, all very encouraging.
Would you rather have half the squad or more being Conference prem players then add a few squad members and loans who can do a job, or have a squad full of ryman players and people who are past it who are happy to take a big wage.
