On the official Welling twitter account. Superb news if we have managed a Nike kit deal! No doubt more news to follow.

Off the pitch and on the pitch think we could be in for a good season.

Great new brand
Does this mean the supporters club shop will be holding a good stock of merchandise
and clothing as the old ACS shop did previously?

Sounds good. Will the online store be able to ship to Australia?

All will be revealed as soon as we know what is available and what we can get.

Not being a "tweeter" I hope that the majority have gone for Option 1 on the home shirt....

Does it really matter? We change our kit more often than Waggers changes his pants.

It matters that the club have managed to secure a deal with a major brand like Nike. The club has never had a top quality kit supplier.

The club can buy a kit from anyone they like. We really should try to get a 2 year sponsorship deal because changing kit every season is not great.

Prior to the ACS shop when we stocked replica shirts we saw the catalogue from the supplier. Every year the suppliers changed the design causing the club to buy a new shirt. I know we could say that we only use squad numbers so shirts could be used for 2 seasons. However this would mean individual shirt sponsorship could not take place as the sponsor could not get the shirt at the end of the season.

Do you really think Nike are paying us anything for the 'privilege' of supplying a kit to us? A Sunday league team can have a Nike kit if they want.

I take it you don't count Umbro as a top supplier?

Option 1 I suppose if pushed.

Any word on what the random Welling paint chart has in store for the away kit?

Either yellow or blue (or both!) probably.

Would like to see a white kit with blue trim in the same style as home kit for the away one.

The Wings are Red, and should stay Red for the home kit.

Blue away kit, and a Yellow 3rd. Why a 3rd? Is there any real need?

If they wash the blue and yellow kit along with some plain white football shirts we can have a fourth green kit too!

Fair point Wingnut. I'd forgotten about them.

In that case, would've preferred white for a 3rd kit. D
