Battled back well in 2nd half, changed to 3 in midfield and was by far the better team. There 3rd a cross from the right that floated in and against run of play.
Dymond when moved from right back to centre mid was best player on the pitch.
Had a great weekend in Cornwall (as usual) only marred by the bit between 3 and 5 o'clock on the Saturday (or rather 3 and 3:45 on the Saturday in this case) A few thoughts.
- Sticking Ajala straight in the starting XI after no training sessions/games with us was a very strange decision.
- Playing 4-4-2 away from home in the first game with two out and out wingers and a lack of "legs" inside was madness. Change to 4-3-3 second half and, hey presto, we are much the better side.
- First goal was clearly deflected and second might have been as well but, as the manager alluded to in his interview, the defence (and keeper) should do better. Going in 0-1 or even 0-0 as it should have been, make the tactical changes and we are probably winning that game.
- As well as we did fight back, and the deserved praise for the character we showed, we should never have been in such a predicament and that is down to poor decision making before the game and during the first half.
Long way to go and I think we have a much better group (on and off the pitch) and a manager that is determined to get it right....starting tonight hopefully?!
