Having watched the video he was clearly shoved first but he did raise his hands and push the Havant player although it did not warrant the Oscar winning performance that the Havant player gave.
As far as I am aware his 3 month (overall) loan period expires on 8th November and I am not sure that can be extended further. Now he will be serving a 3 game ban which means he won't be available to play for us again until the 28th of October. That means a maximum of two more games before his loan expires (and maybe only one if Stalebuns are still in the FA Cup)
The lad has done really well for us but we clearly need someone on board for the Chippenham game and beyond so do we say farewell to Dillon now and look for a more permanent and/or long term option over the next couple of weeks?? We seem to get through keepers at an alarming rate but ideally we need someone ready to train with the players the next two weeks and not be thrown in against Chippenham without having worked at all with the team.
How about the lad that is second choice at Dover....?!
If Mr Massey-Ellis is reading this massaging his ego. I would like to know why two players running to Dillon and then pushing him backwards off his feet is not a red card or even a yellow. Then why does Dillon get red carded just because the pussy from Havant throws himself down and holds his face? Surely they all get carded or sent off or none of them.
I beleive the plan is to get someone else in now. Shame because he is a really good keeper, if it's on camera cant we appeal? Was no more than the shoving that goes on during a game when a free kick gets given. Guy goes down from the mysterious sniper in the stands, I thought there was a rule about that sort of thing now, can get done for simulation.
If the referee used his brain/common sense, he could have booked Barnes for throwing the ball away after the penalty was awarded and then gave him a second yellow card for the push along with one for both Havant players involved in the melee. This would have meant a one match ban for Barnes instead of the three.
A three game ban for a push is unfair considering both Havant players escaped virtually scot-free for their part in the skirmish!
I haven't seen the footage but if it's as clear as those above are stating then surely the 'Kabba' Law comes into play and the play actor gets the ban instead?
If the National League or the FA had shown a bit if common sense they wouldn't have sent a referee all the way from Coventry. I bet H&W enjoyed the expenses bill.
