I wasn't there so can't comment on the performance or how the weather affected things but another win on the road and another clean sheet. Absolutely brilliant! I was one who was critical of some of the performances and effort earlier in the season. To be honest I was fearing another season of struggle but boy have JC, JP the staff and the players turned it around. Hugh credit to all of them. I'm absolutely over the bloody moon now. Well done to all again. Let's keep it up. COYW
Really difficult conditions. We struggled to get hold of the ball, particularly in the first half but Gloucester were pretty much limited to wild shots from distance. A piece of quality won it for us. Another win and another clean sheet you can't ask for much more on a day like today.
The boys have done a great job of lately, especially on the road. Let's raise the noise next week at home to Wealdstone and create a quality atmosphere that inspires us on to another 3 points.
Get in, hope the travelling lot especially my usual companions have a great evening. Polo said to me at the start of the season "we are gonna p#ss this tinpot league" starting to quietly think we might!
Awful conditions today. It was all about riding out the first half whenn the wind was against us and then taking over. Any result today would have been decent in those conditions and Joe popped up with a superb bit of quality to give us the win.
Ive always said we need to give the team time to gel. We still had Bradbrook, Coyle, Goldberg on the bench so it shows the strength in depth.
Oh and the keeper got injured in the warm up.
Up the wings!

Difficult to play first half due to the wind but great goal by Healy. Good to see the players once again coming over to the fans at full time. Really feels like a team and a club at the moment. So different from Haringey.

I second that. 3rd away game in which the players have all shook the supporters hands after a game. Such a difference to some of the money grabbers we had last season. There's a connection between the supporters and players that we've been lacking since our first year in the conference.
Such a great spirit within the squad and morale is very high. Long may it continue!
6 wins in a row and I believe Mr Healy has scored in 5 straight games and 6 in 7. Must be contenders for manager and player of the month!

Another great win and hats off to the management team who have transformed the players performances. As always, all the away supporters have my utmost respect, especially with todays weather. Superb effort and onwards and upwards we go!
Superb Wings. Great stuff, another 8 or 9 straight league wins to beat our championship-winning record!
Just another 7 required. Our 12 wins in a row was halted by a 3-2 defeat at Dover.
OK, but another one or two wins would set a challenging new record! Just watched the post-match interview with the Gloucester manager - he seems a smashing bloke - and the suggestion was that we nicked it at Evesham, and that's the mark of a championship-winning team. The problem now is that Jamie has to manage supporters' expectations as well as a very tight budget. Let's try to fill that 'boost the budget' bucket on Saturday to really show our appreciation.

To give you an idea of how windy it was, their goalkeeper took a goal kick which went out for a corner.
As mentioned, thought Welling tried to contain the game in the first half (kicking into the wind).
As for the second half, couldn't see Gloucester scoring a goal.
Nice touch from the team at the end of the game.
Couldn't believe Bet365 were offering us at 3/1 to win the game at half time.
Happy days

Crikey, not just windy - that's storm force at least.
Well pleased with that result on Saturday which counts just as much as thrashing Chippenham at home two weeks ago. It was never going to be pretty in those conditions but, against the elements in the first half, we limited them to a few set pieces and shots from distance with strong resolute defending - this run of clean sheets has been very impressive of late and I though both centre halves played well again on Saturday ably supported by the full backs and keeper. We seem to have found a position for Olu now and he continues to impress.
I thought we would take over the game in the second half but we didn't really use the elements as well as we might have done in the second half. The three wingers that we used couldn't really get in the game and, to be fair, Gloucester played better into the wind than we had managed in the first half. It was good to see a strong bench once again and the manager was able to change personnel and tweak the formation in search of the win. It looked like a 0-0 to be honest but one moment of quality and it's game over.
As the manager has said in his interview we weren't quite at the races on Saturday yet we still managed to grind out the win. I am pretty sure that the shower of a team we had last season would have taken one look at those conditions, got back on the coach and left the three points behind...
Big game on Saturday against an improving Wealdstone team who will bring decent support with them. Let's hope we get a good turnout of home fans who can now see that they have a team playing for the shirt and who have reconnected with the supporters - a connection which has been the hallmark of Welling teams over the years but which has been sadly lacking over the last couple of seasons.
