Things Welling United need to do (in no particular order):
1. Sign a new goalkeeper
2. Stick to 1 formation home and away
3. Sign a new defender so Coyle can manage
4. Make an actual challenge to get the ball back
5. Play the referee
6. Don't hoof the ball upfield to a 5ft2" striker
7. Dont hoof the ball upfield from a kick-off
8. If they time waste when not in play (holding ball, etc) actually do something to the player
9. A more vocal and enthusiastic bench
Yes maybe number 8 is wrong but I was watching the highlights on the league website and Goldberg does nothing to get the ball from the Chelmsford goalkeeper. With video footage from us and the other team, we can prove that our player wasn't to blame.
We have no clue what we are doing. I'm more annoyed now than when Jody Brown was in charge. Bring someone new in to manage who actually has a clue. Tempted to say bring back Jamie Day.
I think calls of changing the management is far too early to consider. Can't see what that would really achieve or who could come in? They have January to make some changes to the playing staff and then the summer to tweak things fornthe following season. They are still learning as they are new to this.
The one thing is that unaceptable was the effort yesterday from some of the squad. I have no problem with losing a game when the players have put a shift in, but that wasn't the case yesterday.

1. We have signed an awful lot of goalkeepers...
2. Back four please
3. Problem is he has probably been our best/most consistent defender which is a worry in itself...
4. We do but they are normally stupid fouls
5. Agreed although I have hardly ever seen a Welling team do that?!
6. Agreed
7. The further from our goal the better.
8. What?????
9.Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
Jamie Coyle still very much the man for me and, as Polo has said, still learning on the job. This squad is still a mile ahead in ability and attitudes on later years shower. A big week and a big January ahead...

8) Counter intuitive but away from home leave them to it. The first time the keeper stands there waiting for someone to come to them for over a minute the crowd are going to get pretty restless because that isn't what they came to watch. Will then see how dedicated the keeper\manager are the next time the situation arises. Costs more time first time around, may lessen the pratting about over the course of the whole game.
I said yesterday i would get rid of everyone apart from Jamie and Jack, know I have a rant but we need stability...get rid of the yes men around them and let them get on with the job. What we need on the bench whilst Jamie and Jack are on the pitch is a Dean Frost!!!

Maybe they are the yes men?
How do we know?
The manager picked an injured midfielder to play centre half, alongside a cart-horse midfielder who doubles as a coach.
How any one can talk about adding to the management is a joke.......how many coaches do we need? We've even got TWO physio's these days.
There need's to a cut back somewhere, we are carrying people.
If results don't improve by mid january, i'd sack the management. Anything less and you are deluding yourself that something miraculous is somehow going to happen.
If they can't get it right with all those backroom people, and decent players.....forget it. Smell the coffee time!

I didn't say add to it, get rid of a couple and bring someone in for the bench who knows what they are doing. Hugo is a nice bloke, but he's not a manager type, he is a coach. And if they feel the need to put Lewis back on the bench which hasn't worked ever since hes been at
the club then it kind of proves my point!
Lewis is doing great with the academy, but that is his level and what he does.
Jamie day could go on that pitch knowing that Dean Frost and Barry Ashby had everything in control they managed the game from the sideline like a manager does even though technically they were coaches, when Coyle is on the pitch right said Fred haven't got a clue apart from to shout run and pressure.
And if they wasn't yes men mark Goldberg wouldn't of bought them in nor would they still be here now.

So you'd get rid of Right Said Fred...... the two who are not really responsible for the first team (at least they are not managers).....
So who IS accountable........ chairman, manager, players? Who? So many of them!!!
Mid January with 1 win from 10 matches is my prediction ....then smell the coffee time.
