Great three points. Despite some outrageous challenges first half we composed ourselves and did a professional job. Good work rate from our team, we seem to look fitter lately.
Very disciplined performance against a side who had only lost once at home since September.
News on Jefford is better than feared, he has a badly cut head and arm but it looked awful from where we were. Hopefully he recovers quickly. The lad Philpot is a real handful and fingers crossed he is here until the end of the season. Credit to the team and management for a very well deserved win.

Solid in defence again which is nice to see, apart from them getting a penalty they didn't look they would ever score. Forward movement with two up top is so much better, a lot of tough games between now and end of season but if we carry on like this and doing the basics right i see no reason we shouldn't be in the playoffs.
Just been looking at the photos. How the ref can take a standing body slam from one of their players and not book him is embarrasing - for the ref (and frustrating for us). At the time i thought a straight red for doing that He then books one of ours for a bit of back chat on the lino's word yet let so many lunges go without anything. Some really bad tackles yesterday.
Easy to swerve talk of the officials when we win but it could have been more than Jeffers in A&E yesterday.

Da Costa was booked for the assault on Ben Jeffers.

Should have been charged and bailed (then up before the beak a week on Monday)
Well pleased with that result against a team top of the form league at home for the last six games prior to Saturday and not having lost in the league at home since September.
Reminded me a bit of the Gloucester away game although conditions that day were far worse. We rode our luck a little at times and our keeper made a couple of good close range saves although his handling at times did worry me. I also felt that we sat a bit too deep in the second half although I can understand that we were protecting a lead. However we need to be a bit more ruthless in clearing our lines when we have to. As the manager alluded to in his post match interview the whole team worked really hard and kept their discipline in the main. I haven't seen the footage of the Jefford incident but, whether he was helped into the barrier or not, there must be a health and safety issue for Concord to answer if their metal fencing is not secure and can lead to that sort of injury - fingers crossed Ben will recover quickly. Earlier in the half a bit of the covering near us "detached" itself from somewhere and landed by the side of the pitch and had to be taken away?!
Hopefully we can keep this good run of late going (weather permitting) We have more pace up front and plenty of guile in midfield at the moment. We also have options on the bench to change the style of play if necessary. I admire our skipper's tenacity and will to win but that was a stupid booking in the first half. I believe that will now mean a two game ban and he needs to curb his "enthusiasm" a little or else it won't be the last ban he gets this season...we are running a pretty small squad at the moment and need all hands on deck.
Congrats to the players and management on the form of late (Gloucester apart) A few of us remarked on Saturday that, had this game been last season, a few of ours wouldn't have fancied it and would have run up the white flag. Nice to see an ex Wing doing us a favour as well with a goal and a penalty miss as well!

This will be his third suspension. Could that be a three match ban or is it just based on his ten single yellow card offences so only two games?
One suspension for 5 yellows, another one for a red card.
I think next one will be for 10 yellows = 2 games.
He needs to avoid 5 more yellows (and of course any reds) in the remaining 10 games (assuming he is selected) to avoid a further ban which could impact on the play offs should we qualify for them...
I don't want to curb his aggressive side but that booking on Saturday was so unnecessary.
