Hi Jack,

Please be careful if you are officiating in any matches within the Thames Valley or Hampshire areas.  The traffic police now have the power to stop cars and ask drivers to undertake an eyesight test.  I understand the requirement is to locate a white line from a distance of 20 metres.

We have also been asked to pass on a message from a number of punters who corrected predicted that you would give the opposition a controversial penalty.  They were pleasantly surprised that the bookmakers had not examined the recent history of games where you officiated at Park View Road.

Now what's the point of a post like this.................

1) You're assuming he can read

2) You're assuming he can see far enough to drive to Thames Valley (although I suppose he could have a friend that could drive him)

Anyway, even assuming the above don't count you've still got to rely on him seeing the police in the first place
