If it is Torquay for Truro there is probably a cheaper way from Waterloo mainline via Exeter. It would take longer but some of it would be offset by not having to catch a tube from Charing Cross/Waterloo to Paddington.

Even if running SWR are not showing advance purchase tickets for their services only Great Western Services. Cheapest single looked to be around £63 without a railcard. Really thought the train companies would want to fill up seats at a reasonable price off peak. Still what do I know (no comment mr x please).
