I think he deserves huge credit for this seasons upturn. Hes gone out and got probably the best manager at this level and a bloody good manager at all non league levels full stop. Hes backed him. Hes stepped back and let him get on with it and Im led to believe put his own dosh into the budget too. I just hope were not pushing the budget too far. Overall MG has put us back at the sharp end again.

I agree with the above but would still air on the side of caution. Without significant revenue coming in from sponsorship, gates, and fa cup money (That hopefully we can get some more of) these things also have the potential to go tits up very quickly, as other teams have shown. Enjoy it while it lasts, hopefully for a long time, but these things are never guaranteed.

I have to agree that we need to enjoy these good times, we know that MG has development plans for the ground which continue to be stalled, if things were to go wrong both on and off the pitch I wonder how loyal MG and the current players would be to the club. Would everyone stick around for another season? Our best bet would be a league winning season and a long cup run, boosting the crowds and forcing the local council to reconsider the ground development options. It could happen.

I have a feeling this will turn into a very long thread one day.

When people such as Steve Pain and Barry Hobbins resign as directors after decades ... I would be cautious.

No question Mark is spending loads of money on the team and this season things are going well but as Jamison says there needs to be commercial activity and sustainability as if Mark decides hes had enough its anybodys guess how the budget would  be paid given the club have franchised out the bar and catering and have zero commercial activity.
