Could it be Bradley Goldburg?

Bloke knows how to play the game. Is wise and knows to control/play football.

Something Kissock obviously doesn't.

I have watched football at various levels to understand that if you can stick a decent ball player in the middle of the pitch, you are on to a winner.

We look a mess without someone who can calm things down in the centre of the park, and until we get one, our form will not continue the way it has recently.

It was too much hit and rush today, with no one prepared to dictate the middle of the pitch.

The sending off didn't help, but they were beatable today.

I think the lack of intelligent midfield play wasted the talents of Briendan Kiernan.

As for the threat of walking from the station, try visiting the Den in the 80s.

Bradley Goldberg a replacement for Jack Jebb. Get in the Bin!! You are on a wind up surely?

Jebby was always going to be a big miss and todays game was crying out for his creativity. King will know he needs to replace him, but it wont be Goldberg!

Jesus Christ, quite possibly the strangest thing I've ever read! The only place he belongs is in a budget cut.

Whilst no expert on the intricacies of Football Club finances we now have, by reckoning some 26 or 27 players on the books. Players of Jack Jebbs abilities are not available at the click of the fingers and do not come cheap. Unless we have someone within the Clubs hierarchy with very deep pockets I do not see how we can continue to sustain the policy of trying to buy ourselves out of difficulties or addressing problem areas. If we are to replace Jack for the season, surely we must start to shed players (which I recognise may be difficult if they are on contract) there are enough clubs in trouble for exceeding their budgets and I would hate our Club to become one. Finally, Bradley Goldberg would not appear to be the answer to the need for a creative midfield player.

So what do we do with what we currently have?
You telling me that you would continue to stick with Kissock?
If you are going to slate my comment, then at least come back with a solution.
The solution (at least temporarily) be utilising what we currently have.

I think Kissock could be the answer. He just needs to calm down and not try to run all over midfield but concentrate on distribution and set piece delivery. That might mean a slightly different style but I dont think we need to get in anymore players, unless we start offloading.

One cup defeat and and one major injury blow is tough but not all doom and gloom. We are 2nd in the league and playing our best football with our best squad in years.

If only there was a potential short term replacement out there.

A good, creative midfielder who has experience at this level and can chip in with a few goals...

Someone who has played at this level and was a multiple award winner quite recently...*

* First and foremost we need to offload a few now we are out of the Cup in my humble opinion

I mooted this recently, the problem would be other commitments and, in particular, match fitness which could delay an appearance for quite a while. Meanwhile, not so far away, is a good midfielder and Wings former award winner, who does not seem to be able to get a full game these days.

If you are referring to Harry beautyman then yes please! I know the romantics would love Healy back but I just don't think he is the answer right now.

Looking around this league theres very few one for one replacements who would sign. Looking at the better players about maybe Lloyd Dawes at Eastbourne or Rob Sinclair at Oxford? Both very good players in teams probably going nowhere.

We are Welling Utd not Billericay. Why are some people expecting us to just go out and get a replacement for Jebb. These things have to be financed within the restraints of our budget. There is not a bottomless pit of money. Lets get real.

Oxford City went somewhere the other night - into the first round proper of the FA Cup after tonking Hemel Hempstead 5-0! Difficult to see where we could recruit anybody as an adequate replacement for Jebby without spending a lot of money which we may not have, or without waiting for somebody to get match fit. Is Sam Corne worth another look?

Beautyman is effective when he has a free role. Dom Vose or Kargbo would be cheap, if you can persuade Joe Healy to play Saturdays as well as Sundays he would be a possible stop gap but its best to move on. The manager can find players its just a case of if there is any money there without offloading a few.

Goldberg could play tip of a diamond easily. Behind Patterson and Mills he would cause mayhem and he can pick a pass and he would get less attention from defenders. Hes just struggled to score in a two where Mills is running all over the show.
