If our Manager thinks it was like The Alamo on Saturday then he's pretty good at deflecting poor performances and making excuses. The sort of stuff that didn't endear him to us when he was our opponent!
We struggled to cope with their physicality and work rate and could have done with more of the same ourselves. Mills far more effective than Goldberg when introduced.
That said we kept at it despite the lack of creativity (Nas excepted) and fully deserved to stuff it to them by way of the equaliser.
What he is doing is deflecting from the team...I have no issue with that.....Good management.....I have to say...yes he is marmite BUT he reacts,,,i like that
I would be more worried about signing player after player after player. They cost money and with no commercial activity and low crowds that is not a good recipe for sustainability.
He doesn't manage the injury crisis he just spends more money constantly bringing in players. Hopefully the chairman is finding it and we aren't getting in any problems. When games start getting called off we could find ourselves up shiiiiit creek with a ludicrous wage bill. I have no idea how big the squad is or the budget size now but with all the injuries it has got to be way more than we can afford if games start getting called off due to the weather.
I am not buying all that people are playing for less than they should be on when some of the bigger earners wages are almost common knowledge.
I can't work out why Mills has recently been demoted to the bench, baffling. He is a must starter for me - we are simply a better team with him up top.
