Steve King and the team should prepare for a soggy if not heavy Plainmoor pitch on Saturday. Truro's "home" game there last Saturday was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch and it seems the rain has not relented that often since, although the 40 mph plus winds forecast on Saturday morning/early pm may dry it out somewhat. Conditions could dictate a change in our usual passing game style and no doubt SK will take weather and pitch factors into account in team selection. Latest weather forecast predicts almost gale-force conditions with winds reaching at least 50mph all day.

Lump it up to the big man up front approach then?
Those conditions do mean that anything fancy in and around our penalty area should be avoided.
From the Torquay United forum. Seems they're very optimistic. At least they don't think it will be a clean sheet for them.
Gulls 7 Wings 1 Reid hatrick in amongst the goals Crowd of 2.5k (incl. 40 from Welling)
F*ck it, if we can't be optimistic now, we never will be!

But if you look at the following post on their forum the poster is pessimistic about the game going ahead due to the weather. I know there are a lot of you traveling down for a weekend break. I hope the weather holds and wish you all and the team a safe journey.
I'll be well pissed off if its called off..I'm leaving at 7.15am.!!!
I would have thought that if there was any danger of the match being called off, Torquay would organise a pitch inspection later this pm to save the team and supporters a long, needless, journey.
Torquay won the league today judging by their players and fans reaction at the end of the game. They were good today but until the end of April theyre still a national league south team. Shame the ref and lino didnt realise that as well. We didnt perform first half, played better second but didnt create much.
