Even though a short term player, is it worthy of a minute's remembrance before the Dartford game? He must have more relevance to Welling than the secretary of a league in which Welling and their opponents respected recently, even though neither club had ever played in that league.
Always sad news when you read something like this, particularly at this time of year. I seem to recollect that he got fined for playing Sunday football and got booked for some obscure handball against Reading in the FA cup. Then again I could have got that completely wrong and got it confused with someone else.
Sad news indeed. It was Overton who got sent off at Reading for second booking - a pretty harmless throwing of the ball back to the opposition. Deemed dissent by the ref who I think was Stuart Attwell.
