Comfortable win. Hopefully the same again on NYD infront of 300-400 travelling fans.

Dartford were poor and their fans were silent. Job done.

Best team won no question.
Our fans were silent and so were yours. Boxing Day is hard for atmosphere.

Been a while since i got down to PVR before today but looked so much better in defence compared to last season. Not sure on some names but the No.6 looked solid at the back. Could and probably should've won by more but a win and a the derby day spoils will do. Look a good bet for the playoffs, and if Dartford are one of the teams up there, based off of todays showing, they wont be hard to beat. They looked poor, sluggish and not at the races.

Few Darts fans after the game thought they were worth a point. Also saying ref was **** and gave them nothing. Welling weren't great by any means, defended well, attack was poor. L'Ghoul was good and Hill MOM. Darts fans and players complained about every challenge trying to get any advantage, a tactic used by the previous Welling management, now at Dartford.
3 points on NYD if the same two teams turn up.

But Much much better team today. Im so glad Im not watching that Jamie Coyle bollocks this year. How do you expect to win or even draw a game of football by having two shots at goal in 90 minutes. The best thing to happen to Welling this year was SK any you ****ing off. Useless wanker.

Performances of late win lose or draw have not been brilliant, then today at the right time we were fantastic.
Completely bossed them, I almost felt sorry for them knowing that's probably the style they have to watch every week..Coyle at his best.

Playing Goldberg, Kissock, L'ghoul and McCullum was a bit of a risk against a team of giants but it payed off. Kissock was fantastic and should have been MotM. Mendy shielded him superbly. And our centre backs won all their battles including Hill's headed goal.

If I was King I'd rest a few of the starters from yesterday against Concord then go with the same starting line up at Ponces Park. With the Woking game rearranged for Jan 9th we still have another 4 games to play in the next 14 days so the right squad rotation could be crucial.

Depends what you want to achieve ...Concord are 4th we are 3rd.....I really wouldn't rest too many.....If anything we rest them on NYD reading some of the posts above.....

I wouldn't. I'd be looking to build up momentum.

Unless injuries dictate, you wouldn't want to change too much as only 1st victory in 3. Need build confidence & momentum again.

The referee was appalling one of the very worst no question.
We did have more than 1 shot on goal unless you mean on target.
At 1-0 we could of snatched an undeserved draw.

The better team won and you were the much better side.

Interesting to read your comments on coyle.

Adam Flanagan said no shots on target in the first half but two on target and six off in the second half. In my notes, I can only find one save that Dan Wilks had to make (from Lee Noble) but maybe there was another that I didn't consider worth noting, like an over-hit through ball that would have gone in had it not been picked up, or maybe he believes that hitting the post constitutes on target. Four of those shots were after Welling went two up.

I saw nothing from dartford that we didn't see all last season, given position in table I expected better but they had all the hallmarks of JC football, hoof it long to a isolated 5'8 striker. It's terrible to watch and given there was no complaints hen he left us I'm shocked darts fans expect any better.

To make things better it's the same old story, you'll get loan players from Maidstone who have only played academy football whilst your usual players sit on the bench and eventually get pissed off and stop playing for him.

Apparently, according to a post on the Dartford forum, we were "mediocre". Perhaps M. L'Ghoul should convince them otherwise next week. Put the post up on the dressing room wall Steve King.

Thoroughly enjoyed the match and great result. Went to the game with quite a few of the family who also had a great afternoon . Great turnout too and support.

Five years I have waited for that result - hopefully I will only have to wait less than a week for a repeat...?!

All the while it was 1-0 I was worried and especially so after Goldberg and Mills missed clear chances in the same passage of play. I think 2-0 was the very least we deserved and PVR is becoming a bit of a fortress again as it was back in the days of Jamie Day. Well chuffed with the attendance as well and let's hope a few of them return to PVR on a more regular basis which is what this team deserves.

I thought it was a very good team effort on Saturday. Keeper and back four, individually and collectively did really well and limited them to very little. Useful having a manager with a contacts book that doesn't begin and end with Maidstone.. I couldnt really get their tactics launching it long towards a not very tall striker in the first half but I am not complaining! We passed the ball well although maybe still over elaborated at times. Probably the best display I have seen from JPK in a Welling shirt and the two wide players worked hard. Mills always puts a shift in but, as the manager alluded to in his interview, he could and should have been more clinical on the day. A sign of a good day was that in my group we had about four different nominations for man of the match - my personal vote went to Mendy who I thought was immense throughout - won tackles all over the pitch and used the ball simply and effectively.

I am sure they will come back hard at us on NYD but before that we have another big game and we need another big performance tomorrow and hopefully a good crowd to cheer the boys on.

Up the Wings!
