Interesting game. We know it will be tough again but hoping home advantage counts.

The Pikey park curse strikes again.

Nothing between the sides but we have no one to put the ball in the net. Its cost us today and will probably cost us play offs unless something is done about it.

I dont know about nothing between the two sides. I thought we were easily the better team. As you say we need to find a goal threat pronto. Luke Rooney was excellent I thought. A bit more creative and Anue looked good too. Not a good Xmas though.

I wonder whether they will cash in on L'Ghoul now? And will this be the start of some budget realignment and player movement?

Looked like it was going to be a goalless draw, both sides had good chances but we just dont have a goal scorer!

need to do a lot better or we can forget the playoffs

LGhoul was a massive loss and taking off Brendon Kiernon was the wrong decision. Newton and Goldberg are not good enough for this level of football.

Dartford succesfully broke up play but we fell for it too often- too many silly free kicks given away which ultimatley cost us.

The one bonus was Rooney. We missed him when he went off especially his set pieces.

We didnt make the keeper work much despite some good possession. Rooney was good and Kiernan seemed much sharper today. I thought a 0-0 draw was on the cards but a derby game can always go one way late on. Wasnt impressed with Dartford again and Ill be amazed if they make the play offs as Ive seen plenty more teams who look better.

Final words for the ref. Out of his depth and probably out of his tree last night.

Cant agree with you about Newton. He had a decent game IMO. We have the better players. There is no one in this league who has the dead ball delivery of Jack Jebb and that has cost us goals. Dirtford nicked that and they know it. Day light robbery. They won their Cup final. Let them have it. Lol

Lucky Dartford but when we dont score and they nick a goal you cant moan. Ref was abysmal and gave them every free kick going.

What a shambles off the pitch in their biggest game of the season no hot food at all in the tea bar and was told go down the other one they will cook hot food. Yeah cheers love with 100 people queuing all game. Absolute tinpot on a New Years Day game go back to the Ryman.

We did but we sent back to Billericay and elected to keep a season loan of Mills and sign Paterson and keep Brad. I said at the time thats the difference between promotion and not getting promoted. Coombes is better than all three put together.

Rooney has been playing SCEFL1 and isnt fit enough or possibly good enough. if we never had LGhoul and Kiernan we wouldnt create a Chance now we havent got Jebb.

Weve just lost to twi bang average sides in Concord and Dartford because we are toothless up front.

I'd be careful with that statement, we run out of draught beer and food on boxing day...

Rooney isnt good enough!!!! Do me favour. Dear god. He made himself available for every ball today. **** me any team in this league would have him. Hes played at several levels above and in the US and is only back in this country because he got a bad injury across the pond. Hes exactly what we need.  Mark my words.

We need an out and out goal scorer otherwise we are going to get beat by the odd goal more often that not.

We sent Coombes back to Billericay?

leave off, how can you turn down a decent transfer fee and stop a decent bloke trebling his wages?

How on earth have we lost this game..idve taken a draw today even if it was 0-0 as I thought we was so much better than them but just couldn't find the net. But to come away with nothing..unbelievable

Wow! What the f*** are you talking about.

Firstly that tea bar has the facilities to store hot food but not cook it thats why.

Second at least we have a tea bar at both ends of the ground.

Third....tin pot? Have you ever been to PVR. while were greatful to have our stadium they are un comparable.

Maybe if you could pull in people to actually watch you might one day get support.

as for our biggest game, well it would be if you could actually bring some decent support. You got 1900 becuase we filled it we got about 100  less today because your showing was poor.

All in all I think you lot were better today. Not our fault you didnt score.

Congratulations youre on the crest of a wave this season and were abysmal this season....yet level on points.

What an achievment or you to be level with us, well done.

I actually came away thinking the same thing, that was the poorest Dartford team Ive seen in years over the two games and we still couldnt do the double! If we can find a goal scorer  or one of our current strikers fancy stepping up for us then I would still fancy us finishing above you. Who knows we may still meet in the play offs. That was the quietest Ive heard PP as well.

The prospect of Nas being out injured for a month or so really hits at our chances of staying within the play-off zone - especially as our strikers cannot seem to find the net at the moment. It is worrying, but we could be out of the play-off places by the time Nas returns and struggling to get back there.

Some defeats always hurt more than others and yesterday certainly falls into that category! We didn't deserve to lose but there was an air of inevitability about their late goal..

A lot of changes for us which was presumably to freshen things up. I was quite pleased to see the formation change to 4-3-3 (or 4-5-1) but obviously losing our most potent attacking threat inside five minutes was a massive blow. Aside from their one early chance and the one that hit the post at the end of the half I felt we controlled the first half. The extra man in central midfield worked very well and we looked a threat going forward. Anau (who was maybe our best player on the day?) should have scored early on and, I have seen a video of the "offside goal" and that looks very dubious to me. Lots of set plays and corners in the first half which perhaps we could have made more from..??

Second half was a pretty dour affair and we shaded it in terms of chances. I don't recall Wilks having to make a save of note in the second half although we didn't test their bloke enough as well. A point would have been the least we deserved but we did conceding unnecessary free kicks and, rather like Saturday, we didn't play the officials anywhere near as well as the opposition...

4 points out of the last 18 and no goals in the last 2 does not make for pretty reading. However this is our first blip of what has been an encouraging season thus far. Hopefully we can start stringing some results together although the absence of L'Ghoul will not help. I trust the current management team to get us through this and we need to stick with the players as well. We were never a title winning side in the first place but we haven't suddenly become a bad side because of a few dodgy results.

Up the Wings!

We should have crowded the referee after the disallowed goal and forced the referee to consult with his 'assistant' as to who was offside.

Maybe not if he returns early February. You'll still get February to April which is more than you'd get if he moves on.

Good summary as usual Wingnut.
Look forward to your round ups.
Pretty much hit the nail on the head in my opinion.

I agree with wingnuts very fair summary. I should only like to add that if you conced 9 largely avoidable fouls within striking distance of the goal (in addition to the inevitable corners) sooner or later you are going to pay for it. We did!
