That's appalling - has been an outstanding performer in the games I've seen. Perhaps it's last in first out (permanently) with the centre halves with Hill being non contract perhaps.
Had heard that another two had to go - assuming other likely to be Mendy who laughably (based on his form for us) has been trialing with a National team by all accounts.
The Club seems to be going to the dogs a bit at the moment. Would rather have been steady all along rather than flash hints of better times only for the rug to be pulled when the going gets tough.
Morale must be affected and sadly can see any Play Off hopes going up in smoke not least because of our dreadful away form.
Unbelievable.!!!..most clubs in our position especially after being top not long ago would finance a major push for the playoffs. Basically because we never beat Woking in the FA Cup and secured 25,000 the whole season is going to go up in smoke
Very disappointed with this news. If we have to release players due to the budget then theres not much we can do about it but we have to try and get some players in - young local development players, free loans, players coming back from injury, trialists, players who need s club next season. Must be some out there.
Certainly seems like budget was too generous in the outset, however I'd rather it was cut back to balance the books than get into trouble. Assuming Orlu on a contract and Josh Hill wasn't, it does make sense. Orlu has a good pedigree, now fit let's hope we can get some good use out of him.
I think Goldberg needs to explain in some detail WTF is going on. Seems he based his budget on assumptions rather than facts at the start of the season. He is not communicating with the fans enough in my view.

Am I right in saying he said attendances weren't good enough as well? Looking through the stats, avg attendance this season is currently 668, which is massively up on last year (533) - (+25%). Even if you take out the biggest gate this season (1912) and last (1401) the difference is pretty big....(+18%)

Perhaps MG was expecting a far greater upturn in attendances? Perhaps sponsorship has not worked out as well as he had wished? Who knows, it is rather puzzling. But I wonder if we attract some bumper crowds starting Saturday, whether MG will review the situation and go for it if he is in a position to?

Surprisingly good average but our last 8 home games, when you take out Dartford, averages less than 500.

Fair point, couldn't find the data for last year to do a direct comparison, however I'm guessing crowds are generally down during that period. If you take out the biggest crowd last season (1401) average for the whole season was just 490.
Ive been a season ticket holder for over 25 years. The one constant in that time is that presently commercially we are not very good and never have been.
The other is that the whole club is run using a combination of smoke and mirrors. I dont expect that to ever change despite the promised transparency during our HMRC experience and the "lenders" who stepped forward. The communication to supporters is poor despite WUSA's support to the club and I have no wish to criticise their good efforts here.
Much has been said that if you want to know whats going on just ask MG. Thats fine in principle but communicating to an individual or group of individuals never spreads the word so that the majority of supporters know what is going on. Quite simply we've had one meet the owner meeting since the takeover, no ones knows any further about ground development or why what is happening to the current squad and the way forward. Another meeting with the push to the playoffs would surely help matters and galvanise the support behind the club.
Presently we seem to be told send reinforcements we are going to advance which once filtered around the terraces often comes back as send 24 pence were going to a dance
Spot on. A monthly column on the website would be a good start for MG. Can't be that difficult can it? We just don't get told enough about off pitch matters.
Whats happening to Rondos and the builders investing money? Its not Goldberg on his own is it? We have a company thats earning money out of our academy and two other directors , four in total. What the hell are they doing while the club gets rid of all its players to try and stay in business?
The club needs to pull its finger out commercially and turf out a few of the people that talk a good game and love a prawn sarnie on an away match.
Cant see King being here for too much longer unless he will take his wages till the end of the season .. wonder if he will go legal to see next years deal paid up?
When does LGhoul get sold for a paltry couple of grand to show more lack of business and football acumen?
When are the Goldberg (And his directors and honorary officials) out chants or banners making an appearance or is that only for the hobbins and Kevin Hales?
if MG does go you better pray someone else comes in because if anyone whos a director at the moment thinks they can take over its going to get worse as theyre all part of this Jackie Brambles.
What a mucking fess

No commercial manager, franchise out Academy, Bars and Catering and overspend on the budget.
Can work in any way?
Unless Goldberg or the other directors can throw thousands in every week propping up the manager playing football Manager Russian roulette, its a complete farce and needs sorting.

At the moment all we know is that we've cut the budget (sensible if we're over spending) and we're still in the play offs. As far as the investments, academy set up, commercial plans, true financial situation all is, none of us know which is why the meeting with MG will be very interesting.
MG has had very little criticism as he sold a dream to the fans. We are absolutely nowhere nearer in this new ground development and slashing the budget by releasing half the squad while in the play offs should be setting alarm bells off and at the very least its slapping the fans in the face whove paid money all season to go and watch.
Last time we flirted with the play offs there wasnt any real push for them and this time it seems a complete derailment.
Be more of a slap in the face if he didnt cut the budget and we had higher debts because of it. I think the meeting will hopefully clear some things up, especially the latest on ground plans.
MG has got previous for doing this. Ask any Bromley supporter and theyll tell you he did it to them. Throw money at the start of the season, secure league place, then cut the budget. I spoke with Steve King before Tuesdays match at Oxford and he was gutted to say the least that Josh Hill had been released. He has no say in who stays or who goes and he stressed he he never overspent the budget he was given. The budget has been cut twice and when asked if the club was running out of money he gave that knowing look and pointed straight at me with that you got in spot on without saying a word. He also said hes having to manage with his hands tied and it was impossible to run a team with only 13 fit players. Richard Orlu was named as a sub but had no chance of actually playing unless both centre backs were physically incapable of carrying on.
