I'll put this out there now: that was in the context of the league and the budget situation and everything lately: one of - if not, the - best Wings league performances I've seen in nearly 40 years.
My first game in months and a good one to turn up to! You could switch our league place with theirs because we were that much the better team - great performance

Very enjoyable game. Never seen a team commit so many fouls! Have to say Orlu was solid considering his absence, brendan back to himself with some quality runs and crosses, and Mills won absolutely everything.
Torquay WTF were they trying to do. Why turn up and spend the first 20 minutes shoving and pushing the Welling players at every opportunity. They gave the ref no option but to keep giving fouls against them. They must of been doing that at every away ground. This time the ref eventually copped on and clamped down on it. Anyway! Well done SK staff and squad ( whats left of it). A magnificent effort. Every player worked for the whole of every minute. Two very well taken goals. Barham did nick MOM for me. For a short lad he won so many headers and gave their centre backs a very busy afternoon. Sometimes having a small squad brings them closer. Us Against the world mentality. Keep it going lads you deserve a play off spot. COYW.
Yeah the ref had a decent game - under pressure from their noisey fans he correctly only gave Wilks a yellow for his foul outside the box and let a few other challenges go that weren't fouls (tbh on both sides)

An excellent, excellent performance in which we had eleven men of the match. However, I should like to give a special mention to Richard Orlu, who came on and you thought he had never been away. Indeed walked out with two Torquay supporters who said, your bald headed bloke at the back didnt miss a thing, I had to agree.

Have a look at their Fans forum. Its comedy gold. Obviously some drink had been taken before many of the posts. Absolutely no credit given to the fact that they were beaten by the better team. Welling 2 Bristol City rejects 0
They bang on about the ref but he was bad for both teams. Their number 17 had four bookable offences and was lucky he wasnt off in the first half. Number 8 = constant mouth. They lost to the better the team on the day and its as simple as that.
As i was there at Torquay in December it was a special win after seeing their boss celebrating on the pitch like they had won the league. They might well do but Woking will push them all the way.

Think some were at a different game. One post has WOKINGS players going down at every opportunity

Yeh! saw that. As I say I think drink had been taken by some of them.
When I heard Richard Orlu had come on for Thierry Audel I straight away thought back to what Steve King said to me on Tuesday night
Richard Orlu is on the bench tonight but hell only play if both Centre backs are incapable of carrying on, hes got a hamstring problem
When he came on yesterday his left thigh was heavily strapped. That was soon discarded and he went on to have a superb match. Unfortunately I had to leave after an hour for work so missed the last half hour. Just before I left young Jack Barham was cynically scythed down near the corner flag and the Torquay player made out hed slipped as he tried to tackle Jack. What a load of bollocks, it was a brutal challenge that should have seen a red card. Great result making it 3 league wins in a row, lets hope its 4 after Hungerford next weekend.

Fantastic performance yesterday from the whole team. Let's face it things are not going well behind the scenes at the moment so the fact that our depleted squad put in a performance like that against the league leaders was unbelievable. The only downside for me was the attendance as once again it took a fairly good away support to boost the gate. There HAS to be a way of attracting more people. I look at Dulwich the previous week and they had over two thousand there with the bar doing a roaring trade.
There are reasons why Dulwich get that size of crowd...all down to trade unions and the labour party from what i heard
I think it is because Dulwich has such a progressive outlook that it attracts interest and sponsorship from the Labour and trade union movement. Unison sponsors them - and I think the local branch of unison is a sponsor of Bromley. The GMB sponsored Whitehawk, and, ffs, a regional office of GMB is our next door neighbour. It is a mistake to restrict sponsorship to businesses only, just as it is these days for clubs and organisations to persist with a selfservative, me, me, me attitude. We are a community interest club and we should be nurturing interest from all aspects of our community including trade unions, professional and trade and charity organisations. Incidentally, I gather a flag taken, it seems, by Welling supporters to the Dulwich away game incurred the wrath of the local faithful because of its alleged sectarian content.
Would rather have 1 man and his dog than some of the 'tarquins' in attendance at Dulwich...
Bit of a knee-jerk reaction, Jamison, if not from the land of the dinosaurs. That will never encourage more people to Park View Road, surely you should be comforted by the fact that the club would be taking more money and probably sustaining a team and decent facilities as a resut?

I'd rather not have those types of hipster fans at Welling

Both Smudge and myself thank you but we would love to see crowds swell at PVR by all means possible. If that inludes veggie burgers and face painting then so be it.
