Good point considering being down to 9 players.

A shocking performance by the ref today. Almost crooked and dishonest. I think if we list all his errors today it will be a long charge sheet.

Saints players fight amongst themselves on going behind and we end up with 9 men. How exactly does that work out?

Mills challenged arms up, but nothing worthy of a red, ref sprinted over to give a red, Mendy booked first half, didn't see yellow for pen, some said a dodgy handball. Ref booked Ijaha when Barrett was shouting at him, Anau through on goal, stonewall pen and red not given. Ref started well, but lost it and seemed anti Welling or in my view totally incompetent.

Bender headbutted his own player and then threw a couple of haymakers in front of the lino and just gets a yellow. Absolute joke. Mills lost for three games with no striker as cover.

One of the most inconsistent, incompetent and biased performances by the ref, that certainly cost us 2 points, plus reduced our squad further with the automatic suspensions.

Lets ignore the ref and feel proud that our lads kept their heads and battled to the end to win a point. The opposition should certainly have been penalised for their antics, fighting and diving, but thats what happens when the officials are as poor as today.

A well done to our lads, all of them.

A great battling performance from our lads and a good point especially considering the other results.

We should take a look at the video evidence of the Mills incident and, if warranted, appeal it.

Well! WTF was wrong with that ref. Perfectly ok for 60 minutes. Then his head exploded. He turned mental for some reason. We all know if Mills had done something to an opponent that warranted a red card that player would of been rolling around on the floor holding his head. But that didnt happen. The Stale buns players must of thought it was their lucky day because at that stage of the game we were well on top. The refs mad decisions totally changed that. It became a farce. If was like the ref was attention seeking or something. He completely spoiled what was a good game. Having given my opinion on the man in black I have to say well done again to the management staff and the whole squad ( whats left of it ) for their never say die bloody fantastic effort. SK his staff and these players dont win every game but thats not through lack of effort and determination. COYW

Still trying to digest all that went on today. However, if the FA wishes to punish misdemeanours on the football pitch they should take a close look at the referees performance today. Whilst he could be forgiven for missing the foul on Arnu which should have resulted in a penalty, the FA should look at how a direct headbut on a football pitch followed by one of the protagonists going berserk just results in one yellow card. Just by way of comparison whilst Mendeys clumsiness may have warranted a penalty, unless he swore at the referee there is no way it deserved a second yellow card and a sending off. I will not go on, except to say that CBB should learn when to take route one in defence, instead of fart arseing about which led to the Mendy incident, and applaud the nine men left for such a resilient last 20 mins.

So many bad points from the refs performance yesterday, even late on when we had the ball by the touchline/penalty area and the ref blew up for a head injury.  Physio came on and treated the players leg! Who obviously came straight back on.

I just hope we can appeal Mills innocent jump in the box.

How fighting players stay on the pitch before that is bizarre.

A video of the game is up on You Tube.

It was not a deliberate 'elbow' as Mills has his eyes on the ball all the time! Also the defender who went down, took a sneaky look at the ref giving Mills a red card got up and walk away completely unscathed!

Mills makes contact with his arm as his jumps. Its clearly a foul but its the kind of foul that happens 5-10 a game without a booking. He has n't deliberately smashed the player with his elbow which the referee must clearly think has occurred to send him off for violent conduct. Lets hope we appeal and the 3 game ban is rescinded

The St.Albans penalty is incredibly harsh. An obvious dive although Mendy had a hold of his shirt. He booked Mendy for pessistant foul play. He had warned him a couple of mins before Mills was sent off and it was always a risk leaving him on. I felt at the time we looked quite comfortable holding on with ten men.

Both red cards were very harsh in my opinion, but equally baffling was the lack of red for their defenders fighting.

I cannot believe the ref was biased , just incompetent

I think that's what they call a day of mixed emotions! Before the game I thought we would get three points. At half time I probably would have taken a point. With half an hour to play it was three points in the bag. With 10 minutes to go I was back being happy with a point! Looking at the other results it was a strange day all round in terms of results.

Once again we started very slowly (not sure what they do pre match but we have been asleep in the early stages of a few games of late) Yes St Albans did play well and were quicker to everything and deservedly in front and it might have been more than one. Kiernan seemed to be the best way through for us and we did create opportunities but too many players were not at the races in the first half. However one positive was the right back Oyebanjo who I thought had a very good afternoon considering he hasn't played for such a long time. Another injury in the second half to another defender but once again the replacement was more than up to it (perhaps we should play him up front next weekend if the suspension isn't lifted on Mills..?!) All was going swimmingly until the man in black decided to have a meltdown before our very eyes.....

I actually thought he was ok in the first half - tried to play advantage a couple of times and came back to book the offender for both sides. I also think that he got it right with the Mendy red card - he was rightly booked in the first half and was warned after that and a blatant shirt pull for the penalty so second yellow and off -  no arguments from me on that. I also think it was very naïve, even stupid, on our part to send Ijaha in as chief "negotiator" with the official in the second half. The bloke is one game off a suspension with a trigger happy ref giving out cards all over the place - surely he should not have got involved time after time and now he will be missing for two games!

Now to the two massive decisions that he certainly did not get right! Not only did we go 2-1 up in the second half but we should then have had an immediate numerical advantage as well. Their 3 and 8 were going at it for ages after the second goal and the former basically headbutted the later! The referee consults with the linesmen and dishes out 1 yellow card...how on earth did he/they come to that conclusion?! I am sick and tired of them being referred to as "assistant referees" as that is one thing at our level that they very rarely do. They give offsides, throw ins and f***all else. The linesman could quite easily see what was going on and should have just told the referee and the red card(s) would have been out. We would have been at least one man up, one goal up and in with a very good chance of securing the three points. He then compounds that mistake by the ridiculous red card for Mills. Everyone in the ground was perplexed at that and, having seen the video of the incident, no way is there any violent conduct to be seen there. As SK said Mills is perhaps sometimes too nice (and not aggressive enough?!) but to think that challenge was worth of a red card beggars belief. Having said that the league are very loathe to go against their officials so I fear we could still get stuck with that suspension which would mean our centre forward missing for a third of the remaining league games and our central midfield missing for the next game as well! We have soldiered on very well with a threadbare squad and we can ill afford to have players suspended along with the two more injuries on Saturday although we have more than adequate options in the defensive areas.

Credit to the remaining nine players for seeing out a point. However we are going to struggle size wise and attack wise without Mendy, Ijaha and Mills next week. Hopefully the third be available and the lesser spotted L'Ghoul could maybe make a guest appearance as well?! Wealdstone are on the fringes of the play off picture and will be very tough next week. However we have plenty of resilience in this group as they have shown time and time again this season and hopefully we can drag out another positive result next weekend.

Up the Wings!

In my view, yes but l suppose it's down to the costs involved.

What the video didn't show is just before the no.3 had his altercation with his keeper, he had his hands round the no.8's neck! That's what I call deliberate.

I found it incredulous that he didn't flag for what was going on. It was right in front of him.

Will Tom Bender ever change? When at Welling he refused to keep quiet during the speeches. When at Dartford he yelled 'c**t' at the Welling club accountant from the pitch (that was a red card offence as well) and now this. Ian Allinson must be mad to give him the captain's armband.

It does appear that violence towards a team-mate is acceptable now as Dartford's Tom Bonner nutted Bailey Vose on Saturday and got away with it without even a yellow card.

No doubt he had a few choice words about the ref, and perhaps how he was supposed to field a squad for the next few matches?

You're clearly not an educated footballing man. Having listened to Allinson's interview to hear what he thought of the sendings off, it seems that Bender's behaviour was exactly what he wanted from his captain

As I said on Twitter, I was right behind the interviewer typing up my NLP match report when he said that. They must have edited out the bump sound of my jaw hitting the table!!

So its not a deliberate elbow as he was looking at the ball! Its actually quite easy to take someone out without looking at them.

Imagine if Nas was playing - he would have been targeted from the first minute by Bender and co. All with the manager's approval!
