Here's hoping for a really good crowd tomorrow. It's going to be a great day weather wise plus it's a public holiday. Hopefully should be a good game so a crowd of 1500+ is reasonable isn't it..?

Thoroughly deserved 3pts. What a bunch of hard working never say die blokes this Welling squad are. Not short of skill either. I really love this lot. Can not give them,SK and his staff enough praise. Totally professional again today. Superb! Lets finish the season with two wins and put the wind up Woking.

Well, what more can be said, how many more superlatives can be listed? A massive game and a massive three points, well done the squad, SK, MG and diehard supporters. Have decided to stay away from Wings matches for the rest of the season, including play-off matches in case I put a hex on the players inadvertently!

Well done all, first half performance did the job. Solid in the second half and play off spot now mathematically guaranteed. Great stuff.

In my opinion Wilkes was the man of the match. We started the game well which was vital.

A win on Monday will guarantee 3rd meaning a home semi final spot and we will have a great chance of nicking second.

One observation. Why is it that some teams are fielding numbers outside 1-11 from the start? I dont see how this is allowed? This is not squad numbers National League! Chelmsford are not the first team to do it either. One for our journalists who may know? I find it rather bizarre.

As far as I know squad numbers are not required but are allowed... Someone may correct me!

It may be a player is given a shirt when he arrives at the club and keeps that shirt. They might even launder the shirt themselves.

Welling were going to do it this season but you are only allowed to go from 1 - 19 and we had 20+ players so abandoned the idea. Last season, in the Bostik South, I saw Greenwich Borough a few times and Bradley Pritchard started each game but had a different high teens number each time so it's all a bit daft.

Wings put another shift in and we really enjoyed the game which was definitely not our best but the result is what counts. The team and management really deserve so much credit for what they have done. Onwards and upwards.

I felt we really bossed first half, and then controlled 2nd reasonably well with Monday in mind. Mills was MOM but Goldberg and Kiernan speed and mobility really showed Chelmsford lack that at the back.

I thought we looked comfortable. Chelmsford's number 19 kept trying to con the referee by falling over at every possibility. He got booked eventually. Dartford getting stuffed 6-0 by Eastbourne at the moment.

Not the best game I have ever seen but job done (first half at least)

A very quick start always help and it was good combination between the front two for the goal. They couldn't handle Mills throughout the first half at all. I was expecting more form Chelmsford going forward but as their top scorer spent most of the game on his ar$e then we nullified that threat as well. It was a good move for the second and once the red card was issued and the penalty went in it was game over (or at least it should have been...) I was pleased to see in the interview given by SK after the game that he was none too happy with the second half and nor was I as those who stand near me will testify! It looked like the half time tea had been drugged?! We know that a Stringer team is never going to lie down and they changed their formation and went even more direct than usual and we kept giving away stupid free kicks to help them. Yes they only missed one clear chance at the death but had they scored earlier then we might have been in trouble. I realise it was a warm day and we had another game to play over the holiday (although I am not quite sure what exactly we saved up for that?!) Some might say it was good game management but I would say it was lethargic and could have proved costly.

Three points and a clean sheet and another home win and nothing to be frightened of should we face them again in the play offs.

Up the Wings!
