At least MG is there as running the first team rather than appointing "Manager and coaches"
However, Hugo and Paul Barnes? Neither have achieved anything in football and have been sacked at much lower levels. None have any kind of playing career and have gone from gig to gigs with mates and done nothing. Hugely underwhelming,
At least Osei played at a good level and has been involved in ok teams coaching.
Im not buying budget cuts, not with the rumoured players they have signed. You dont go from £1000 or £800 a week to pocket money.
It looks to me like Mark is manager, Garry is assistant for some reason and then they've got coaches in to do training and sit on the bench, what could possibly go wrong? How many ex Bromley players will they sign? I will start the bidding at 8.
Welcome back to one and all. I am not sure what to make of these appointments overall but first impression is that, if the budget has being cut, then do we really need three coaches?! That many people on the training pitch can only lead to mixed messages in my mind and we don't want/need too many different voices on a matchday either. Perhaps we are putting the three amigos concept back together but with only one founding member still in place..?!
At least MG has plenty of management experience as, Osei apart, the other two have dabbled in management and come up well short in the past. I don't know much about Gary Fiore but he is well entrenched in the club now and appears to be doing a very good job on the youth side of things so good luck to him as well.
Interesting to see exactly what playing personnel are brought in now.
Of course we should all support the new/old staff and give them a chance to prove their worth.
I've no doubts most of the players will be good enough and most have played higher and done the business for Bromley, However a manager and DOF above 3 coaches is always going to be a car crash, Especially when two of the coaches have done nothing in football and are convenient appointments.

Jamie Slabbers on the phone asking for 400 a week, Mark said I'll give you 500....
Does this mean that Goldberg was talking absolute bollocks at the meeting? I heard he was saying he wanted nothing to do with management, maybe spills or Red Merlin could update me on that...
Gonna be interesting to see who makes the decisions on match day.
Good luck to them all next season, I'd just have preferred Mark to be manager if he wanted to take control of first team again and have a decent coach (like Osei?), Its the extra coaches that i think will not have a positive effect, people who continually fail in football, especially at lower levels usually continue to fail and its money for old rope. I can see the coaching line up streamlined a bit before too long as issues arise and a few scapegoats cast aside.
All a bit confusing at first read through. My impression is that MG is aiming for a top half finish, rather than aiming for promotion and possible promotion. Need to see who is in the squad, and how big it is, but not initially impressed.
Not a statement to fill anyone with joy. Budget has been cut and hoping for mid-table mediocrity. Looks like Goldberg wants to star in the show, write the theme tune, sing the theme tune

Hence we now have a director of football despite a budget cut, Who's man in role in football is to oversee signings but will have to go to the manager/chairman to finalise these signings...it's jobs for mates.
Majority of signings will have played for Bromley, I'm guessing Swaine and Prestedge will be 2 of them.
Not sure I read it like that, said `it is still our absolute intention to be very competitive with the aim of pushing above halfway hopefully within sight of the play offs`. Realistically stating play-offs, top 3 or automatic promotion would be crazy but as 7th spot is up for grabs anyone halfway up the league with a few games to go has a chance.
The structure seems pretty normal to a lot of clubs except the fact our manager is also the chairman, our assistant manager is also the director of football, the director of football also co-runs the academy and we have two assistant coaches!
If people are doubling up on roles and saving some costs along the way then fair play and good to luck them all.
Would not surprise me if those were the type of signings we are looking at, alongside a few ex bromley players as others have already said. It all smells of a lack of ambition to me.
Archie was ok at left back but he was no CBB. Does sound like the idea is to give some of the youth players more of a chance, so means hopefully well have a full bench at least. That was one thing I know MG was not happy about last season. The good thing is they should be hungry and eager to prove themselves.
Coombes was great in his first season with us and his goal contributions certainly kept us up that season. But times move on and I dont think he is the player he once was. He is very injury prone. He is an out and out goal poacher who will always find the net but he is no Tyler Harvey, jake reid, Rhys Murphy or Alex wall all of whom scored 20 + goals this season. Think we need to aim higher

We don't actually know that Adam Coombes is coming back to PVR but I wouldn't say no!
20 league goals in 24 league games first time around in a pretty poor Welling team.
6 league goals in 11 games in two loan spells back at PVR and a goal home and away against us last season for Billericay.
Definitely don't want to see players like that at PVR ever again.
Yes a budget cut from last season which was a big budget. Theres surely still money in the pot to attract decent players otherwise whats the point. Anyway Coombes hasnt actually signed... yet... but you may all get your wish
I think Garry Fiore assisting is to try to get some academy players through the ranks to the first team. Otherwise what is the point?
We all saw how thin our bench was last season and I couldn't understand why we didn't have an academy player getting match day experience. We always hear the 'men against boys' argument and quite often true but spending the day with the first team, experiencing the ground, fans, coaching and more must be worth more than an empty subs place. There must be someone in our junior sides who will break through one day.
Agree regarding the bench, especially at goalkeeper. I'm sure a youth keeper would have been better than an outfield player, if Wilks had got injured or sent off.

I wonder when Tristan Lewes and Harry Wheeler will be joining the band? I will also wait to see what kind of team emerges over the PSF. What will definitely be needed is a large dose of the determination and spirit that last seasons lads had. Thats the very least.
SK was asked why he was not putting youth players on the bench to make up the numbers and said that he didnt want players who he thought werent good enough for the first team to just sit on the bench to gain experience.
