Australians dont even drink Fosters. As for £1 deposit on a plastic glass, WTF are they thinking, so its £3 a pint of fizzy pi55 and another £1 for a plastic container to drink it from. As for bottles of ale, forget it, if they do get any itll be kept on top of the bar at room temperature rather than served chilled as it says on the bottle.

I am not a beer/lager connoisseur by any means but the club has tried to come up with a couple of initiatives to sell cheap(er) beer to the masses tomorrow. and hopefully make a few quid along the way, and all they seem to be getting is stick...?!?!
The £1 deposit isn't a bad idea. I spoke to Lauren last season and she said the cost of the plastic glasses costs the club a lot of money, especially if one person has six pints and gets a new plastic every single time. They are still thrown away or recycled at the end of the day but one per person and getting your deposit back is ok (and cuts down on the plastic waste).
As for real ales - happy if they get some in for all home games!

Anyone know what the arrangement is in the E&B bar, word will soon get round if they dont charge the £1 deposit.
I think the £1 deposit is a good idea if it saves the club money and cuts back on the plastic waste. Wont effect me anyway if they dont bring back the kegs of real ale they used to get in. I cant stomach that p!ss water they serve up.
A £1 deposit is a great idea as it should cut down on the plastic wastage. It's been happening at the Oval for 2 years now and it's been a great success

I don't think the Belvedere bar ever knows what's going on.they was still allowing people to take drinks outside when it was banned for the couple of matches. Apparently they didn't know any different
The £1 deposit they do at Lords Cricket Ground....It was fun at the end of the match seeing the kids collecting them up from those that couldnt be bothered to take back
