Hopefully we start the game much quicker than we did against Bath. The last thing we want is to go a goal behind and be chasing the game in these temperatures.
With good weather and no PL or FL games hopefully a decent crowd for today's game.

A very enjoyable game IMO. We played some nice stuff at times. All our goals were crackers. Hes a bit marmite but Brad Goldberg took his two goals really well. Adam Coombes should of had a couple too plus a stonewall Penalty. Off to Concord next Saturday. They seem to have gone off the boil a bit. So if we have a bit of luck we can grab a point or 3 COYW
All of our front 4 were great including the wingers although they were n't exactly playing out wide! The Tonbridge defenders were n't used to that kind of quality in the Ryman league although to be fair to them their support was great.
On wards to Concord.

First and foremost credit to both sets of players for producing some good entertainment on Monday in such searing heat. Just imagine the bleating at the top of the game if their expensive prima donnas had had to play two back to back games 48 hours apart in such testing conditions...
As the manager alluded to in his interview we made heavy weather of it in the end. At 4-1 up we had chances to add a couple more but were guilty of trying to walk the ball in and lost sight of the simple pass that would have made the final margin of victory wider. It feels a bit churlish to criticise players after performing in that heat but, in a tighter game, that decision making (or lack of) could prove costly. Four well taken goals by us and it is clear that Goldberg's goal on Saturday at Chelmsford gave him a boost of confidence and his two goals (particularly the second) were very well taken. Mccallum seems to be offering more of a goal threat this term and Cook's goal was also well taken - I am glad he scored as I was screaming at him to pass it left or right to one of the strikers ahead of him! We have some good forward options in reserve as well although I felt that Josh could and should have done more when he came on. Credit again to the central midfielders who have precious little football since the season started and had to go back to back in such sapping conditions. Wilks dealt with everything well when called upon (aside from one punch second half..?!) and the back four is showing a good understanding game by game - I have not always been Ming's number one fan but, for me, he has been one of our best performers so far this season.
On to Concord now where the temperatures shouldn't be quite so severe - we have a good record there of late but will need to apply ourselves from the start and then hopefully we can carry on with this good run of results in the last three games.
I'd echo Wingnut really. Glad Goldberg has got some goals, he runs a lot but for me not enough end product - hopefully now this is his time. Thought Cook's performance was great, superb workrate for the whole time he was on the pitch - great goal and 2 assists. Ming for me has been our best performer so far this season.
