The Dorset branch of WUSA welcomes fellow Wings fans to Gods own County on Saturday. A word of warning for those travelling by road it's the annual Dorset Show held at Dorchester on the 7th/8th Sept so there will be extra traffic particularly on the A35 near Dorchester. You may need to allow a bit of extra time for the journey.

I am sure Mark has done his usual good pub guide but for those looking for a pre match beer in a pleasant area near the Harbour I would suggest any of the 3 pubs more or less next to each other facing the harbour The George  The Ship or The Anchor (Rendezvous) or across the bridge Old Rooms Inn. The harbour is about 15 mins walk from the railway station.

Looks like Dymond might be in there now.

Great shift by all today. The team ran their wotsits off after the Red Card and defended very well. The goal was a tap in after a great save from Wilks.

Okosieme was immense today, very impressed with his defending and he put his body on the line several times. Weymouth were pretty much restricted to some wayward long range shooting but did have a huge amount of possession. Had we had 11 players on the pitch, I do believe we could have got something out of the game

On to the Red Card. Clueless, brainless, downright stupid can only describe Connor's decision to make an awful tackle on a player by the touchline, when he had been booked 5 minutes before. The view of most Welling fans were that the tackle could have been a Red card on it's own instead of a second Yellow. In my view, that has cost us big time today, and i felt for Josh who had to be taken off to make way for Montel. So frustrating as we had got in behind weymouth on a couple of occasions and could have got something from the game

Dymond has played well so far this season but he has always had the hot headed brain dead mode. It was only a matter of time before it came to the surface. It cost us today.

Players like Dymond give their all, wear heart on sleeve and are old fashioned ..... it's what some people want, so he's dammed if he does, dammed if he doesn't. One of those players who will get booked and sent off - that's what your getting. Sometimes his style helps win games, maybe not today - sadly

Theres giving your all, like the rest of the team did after Dymwit sorry Dymond was sent off. Then theres plain stupidity. Dymond had no need to go in for the tackle the way he did. In fact he probably didn't even need to tackle at all as the guy was going nowhere and I believe there was cover behind in Joe Anderson. Ive said it before, Dymond is a liability, his petulance and manner on the pitch often in the referees face arguing decisions give the referees no option but to book him. He cost us three points yesterday as I along with most fans there felt we could have won the match yesterday. Unfortunately the referee chose to give him a second yellow rather than a straight red meaning he misses 1 match instead of 3.

Short memories.
Plays with his heart on his sleeve.
Anyone remember his penalty save a season or two ago?
Would have him with Jebb.
Connor doing the leg work, with Jebb providing the footballing nous.

Got to add, how many sendings off did we have last year?
Bloke runs his socks off, whereas we had many a sending off last year from some who never lasted until Christmas.
Unfortunatly he only gets a one match ban?
You would like to see one of ours on a three match ban rather than one?
You really can't make it up on here at times.

Very disappointed not to get a point out of that game after defending so well for so long with a man light. The defenders individually and collectively played very well and with two banks of four we kept them at arms length for a long time. Most of their shots were from distance and the vast majority of them high, wide and not very handsome. When they did get closer to goal there were some excellent last ditch blocks and challenges. Okosieme was man of the match for me although they all worked very hard for no reward in the end.

Of course, as has already been said, the game hinged on the sending off and playing more than an hour a man short. All teams at this level need hard working, combative players with plenty of effort and Dymond is certainly one of those but there is a clear line between commitment and stupidity and this was sadly very much in the latter category. The first booking might be considered a little harsh but the second challenge could have warranted a straight red but, having already been booked, it was definitely a second yellow and game over for us from an attacking point of view. Weymouth had shaded the game to that point in my opinion but, the way the game panned out, I felt we might have got at least a point with 11 v 11. I recall coming on here after a pre season game saying that Dymond would have to curb some of his challenges or he might get into trouble and that was certainly the case at the weekend.

I can't fault he shift put in by all the others at the weekend and they deserved a draw for that alone. Good to see Jebb on again near the end and we nearly profited from the best set piece we delivered all game when Swaine's header from his corner was scrambled away. Not sure why we didn't throw Baghelou forward for set plays as well and drop a smaller player back to cover any breakaway. Another big target to hit would have made it harder for them to defend.

A very tough looking assignment at the weekend with Wealdstone flying at the moment and our old friend Rossco scoring for fun as well! But with only one point from the last 9 and no goals (although there were excuses for that on Saturday) we could do with a positive performance and result in front of what should be a decent crowd at PVR.

Up the Wings!

I could say that about Tony Reynolds, Lew Watts and Rutherford in the past. Thank you for your previous contribution, it was appreciated. Don't expect a contract in the post tomorrow. That was then.

In order to do the leg work you have to be on the field of play, otherwise others have less opportunity to provide whatever they are supposed to be providing because they are covering what you aren't.

Also are we really fuelling the prejudice of low expectation by saying someone in their late twenties can't learn something new?  Evaluating a situation rapidly and making a balanced decision isn't something you just do on a football field, you do it everyday in life, and the better quality decision you make, the less mess you have to clear up. He may not be able to improve on his own but are we all going to get lazy and say he can't? If the player is deemed necessary by the manager it should be something they are working on rather than just shrugging when it goes wrong. We all foul up, just don't keep doing it in the same fashion.

The club really needs to be tough on players with these suspension. Prestige was out for 7 games, Ming 7, Cook 3. Although these occured at other clubs this lack of discipline can not be allowed to slide. These are not inexperienced players.

While I agree with the sentiment Chris how tough can the club get. It was once mentioned in a WUSA meeting a few years ago (possibly a committee meeting) that there is a maximum laid down by the PFA that clubs can fine players.

Wtf are we doing signing players with 16 games of suspensions to come. Ridiculous recruitment when you are trying to gel a completely new team.

Nobody knew of the Sanchez Ming charge that was outstanding otherwise Dquame Copeland wouldn't have been allowed to go out on loan.

 Ming would have known

No player at NLS get fined.....it'd not help anyone either if they did

The results have been very poor of late, what's MG's exit plan (say after 18-24 games?) - or is this season accepted to be a washout?

Who knows? All that should happen behind closed doors.
