I have been an outspoken critic of yours on this platform amongst some others... in particular this season.
To your credit evidently you have asked to meet the more outspoken and critical members of this forum at some point this month for a discussion, if this is fact true then I will take you up on that offer and I know a couple of others who would be keen to be involved.
If this offer is in fact forthcoming then please contact Mr Dean Shulver with the arrangements.
I have a number of questions I would like answered and some things explained on the way things operate at the club both past and present and the blueprint and ambition for the future of the club and on how this will be sustainable.
I have been a supporter of this club since I was a small boy some 35 years ago, so disillusioned with how the club was and is being run from the end of last season to the beginning of this current season that for the first time I have refused to go to any games this season. Now I have been a staunch supporter of the club through thick and thin for over three decades, home and away across the entire country. I have seen some highs and I have been through a hell of a lot of lows, some of it absolutely hopeless.
Through it all though, even the worst of times I still enjoyed going, being with my mates, the sense of togetherness that everyone at the club had.....even through times where performances were poor you always thought everyone was trying their best to achieve as much as they could and be the best they could be.
The message given out before the start of this season however wasnt of ambition, it alarmed me the turn of events from last to this season and what has followed on the pitch since (despite not having seen one performance this season) has proved my initial feeling to have been right, the table doesnt lie and the reports from people I know at the club and the people on this forum can not all be wrong.
There seems a gulf now between the club and its supporters that has never been there before, its them and us and almost a sense of the club ignoring its fans almost a sense of taking the mickey out of the people who trek up and down the road to follow the side.
However in real terms why would you care a hoot what I think? Im just one person, one opinion but if I can walk away in disillusionment then I assure you I am not the only one feeling the disappointment, anger and frustration.
I am a realist, a Welling fan and always will be, I might not own it but its my club, its my team.
I dont expect to be paying the highest wages, to be winning every week (I have watched for too long to understand that isnt why we come down and support the club).
What I do demand is a pride in what we are doing, maximum effort on and off the pitch, honestly, transparency and integrity ........that isnt a lot to ask for, that should be a bare minimum starting point.
What I can say is there is a certain amount of distrust between some supporters towards the current regime over a multitude of different issues which I would like to put to you, some may be valid, some maybe ridiculous although either way they are there.

Like Jamo, I've been a supporter for 35+ years and I can completely understand what he's feeling - because I feel exactly the same.
I've followed the Wings around the country over the years, never questioning why, even during some pretty barren years and numerous relegation struggles. I'm also one of the fans who loaned money to the club a few years' back to help prevent the club winding up.
As of this season, I have seriously been questioning why I support this club. When the Hobbins were at the helm, they didn't always get it right but we always knew how much love they had for the club and they did try to do the right thing for the club, so my loyalty and support was never in question. As we all know, the events of the last week have been a particular low point and I'm seriously thinking about not coming to any matches until Goldberg is gone - not just as manager, but from the club completely. It's becoming clearer and clearer that the club will only go one way with him at the helm.
As for hearing the news this week that our players only train one night a week, this is staggering and embarrassing. When I played for Wimbledon Ladies 25+ years' ago we used to train two nights a week, and we were playing in division three of the Greater London league. It's astonishing that a supposed semi-professional team is training less than an amateur (and that's being kind) ladies team. It just about sums up the chaos and poor management at the club; no wonder good players have been leaving.
If both Jamo and I, with all our years of support, aren't coming back while Goldberg is there, then how many others feel the same? Attendances are already dwindling and will only get worse unless there is a major change at the club.

I believe the players only trained once a week last season although many of the players were not happy about this. I don't think it's a problem earlier in the season when there is a flurry of midweek fixtures.
I share the thoughts of supporters who are questioning weather to carry on. I am a season ticket holder but without a new manager I will be staying in the Guy on Saturday. I think I might have been wrong about the Hobbins out stuff and I am very sorry. We might have been a club in decline but we had some pride, some heart.

Nice to know that I am not being irrational Moo and that other people feel the same, particularly as it is you and you arent one to fly off the handle and be unduly stressed or to start ranting and raving. There isnt anyone more understanding or level headed that watches the games down there.
We havent seen each other since last season yet alone discussed this so if life long loyal supporters like us have become disenchanted and demoralised then there is obviously something to it.
I only played at Sunday level and we trained twice a week as standard, how a club or anyone running one at this level would think that would be adequate is beyond me, even on a Sunday we had to put in a performance, show some pride and bust a gut for our pals, our manager wouldnt accept anything else.
Its like the clubs been hijacked, the little things that held it, that held us all together, the spirit, the pride has been eroded. A lazy thatll do mentality has crept in and the respect towards the punters, the supporters or customers as some put it just isnt there.

Its quite simple, drop about 2-3k off the budget get rid of mercenaries. Start at 5k and get a proper manager in with contacts and the true ability to get someone playing for less than they want. someone with coaches who can coach and motivate.
There are so many people taking the P at the moment its not fixable.
All you can do is try and stay up this season. We are losing money and we have a shower playing for us and coaching us.
Either that or ask the fans to come up with the money MG paid for the club and take it over as a supporter run club. If we need development to stop us losing money we will just lose more money quicker after development because the money is being wasted and spent in the wrong areas.
