Game of two halves or what. We were probably unlucky to concede the first goal. We managed to get back into it fairly and deservedly quickly. I thought we were the better team that half. However we seemed to lose our way a bit in the second half. Im still unsure if it was a penalty or not. Doesnt matter now their fella smashed it home. What I do know is we are now a very decent team. Its a shame BQ wasnt brought in over the Xmas period as a stand in / new manager whilst others were in the Canaries. If that had happened we would be much further up the table and we wouldnt of lost so badly ( 7-0 agg) to the Black and White ****e. I rest my case.
We played well first half and were unlucky not to go in ahead at half-time. Slough were the better team second half. Always disappointing to lose to a penalty conceded for a handball. We had a penalty claim ruled out lane on when Goldberg looked to have been brought down.
Disappointing to lose to a soft penalty, but undoubtedly Slough were the better team in the second half and deserved the win. Thought we were every bit as good as them, if not better, in the first 45 minutes. I guess its a reminder of how much work Brad still has to do to make this his team - he's undoubtedly improved things tenfold and now needs to get this season done and keep us up which i have no doubt that he will. Look forward to him having the Summer to get more of his own players in and work on things his way
Feels good to be going into the latter part of the season with some hope, when there was seemingly none a few weeks ago.
The one thing that concerns me is the ongoing presence of Daddy's Little Soldier though - when he came on yesterday I knew it would be a waste of a substitution. Not sure what say Brad has got over whether he has to stay and play, but it has been clear to me for some time he isn't good enough at this level anymore and is just far too lightweight.
