Thought I'd begin this one a day or two early (sorry Mark!).

Due to the victory of the Pale Ale in the survey, the beers for this week are as follows:

1) East London Brewing Co. Table Beer Azacca & Amarillo (3.6%). A lively number for the gravity, light in colour and very citrusy. Mango, pineapple and tangerine come from Azacca; whilst orange comes from Amarillo.

2) Tiny Rebel Brewing Co. Cwtch Red Ale (4.6%). A famous Red that won Champion Beer of Britain. Caramel malts, citrus hops. It's very, very good by all accounts...

And as for the football...

I think it's fair to say following some absolutely fantastic recent results, whilst the weather looks a bit dull (as it stands), I have no doubt that the players will really want to see a big crowd. Havant are not going to be easy by any stretch but Havant do have a massive game tomorrow with Slough. Will they have tired legs? We shall have to see.

See you all Saturday.

As an FYI folks, due to the nature of the weather forecast etc. Even if the game is played, the real ale will not be available. This is due to the fact that it needs conditioning time and we didnt tap them expecting a possible wash-out. Sadly, theyre still going to be there just to tease you! Apologies.

Was anyone working on the pitch at the time?  Cant help thinking if young Barry was still doing the pitch the game would of stood a better chance of surviving. PS. Tuesday 10th of March seems like a good date for the rearranged game.

I know Jordans have been in at least twice this week as I saw a facebook post then saw them myself yesterday. Not putting Barry down in any way, shape or form but I doubt very much if he could have worked a miracle with all the rain and snow.

It was always long odds on the game taking place today after the squatters played on Tuesday night and the Academy lads the day after.

How ridiculous our pitch is a joke. The weather now is beautiful & with the wind Drying the pitch this game should off been on.

Sorry but yes the sun has been out but certainly not enough to dry the pitch. I have just got back from the ground having spent over 2 hours there with my colleagues from the shop putting out our new stock. Parts of the pitch were far too dangerous to walk on let alone run around kicking a football. Whilst I agree income was lost safety is paramount and the decision by a referee last night was correct.

I went to Sevenoaks Town today and there was a downpour in the second half. Apparently, there was heavy rain in Bexley this afternoon as well. Did it miss Welling?

Completely agree, Barry would work on the pitch every day when he needed to and we pay Jordans full time money for part time work and the pitch ain't great. We don't help ourselves sometimes and Barry did so much more than the pitch.

The pitch will not improve whilst we have squatters the other side of the main stand. We were led to believe that something should have been forthcoming in respect of possible redevelopment by the end of Jan. Heard absolutely nothing, presume that those plans have gone by the board, does anyone know where we stand?
