Ade has made decisions on players he wishes to keep next season so expect news in the near future.

Moses Jjunju, Hector Mackie and Jim Corbett all released with more faces expected to go through the exit door in the coming weeks.

Jimmy Jackson, Andy Drury, and Lee Protheroe have been linked with Ade.

Steve Perkins likely to partner Che in Saturdays line up.

I would only want Protheroe out of those 3. I wonder if Ade's "contacts" extends to clubs/players he's previously been at (with very few exceptions).

Paul Parker rated Jimmy Jackson and was after him but after watching him decided he wasnt good enough.

Given Ade will be releasing some of the players he has signed that hes previously worked with i would hope he will not just raid his old clubs.

I believe this will hold Ade back from Managing higher, i mean what happens if he goes to say...... Crawley/Aldershot? Will he just sign, Gravesend/Gillingham and Welling Players.

Given that next season "We are going for it" i would hope after more than a season in Charge he has seen better players that were previously unknown to him.

JT, Johnny G, Leon, Bod, Keds, Daisy (Gledhill if he can ensure hes not working or in the stands because hes hit someone) are the basis of a VERY good team. Ade said he only wants better than we have already. Well Jimmy Jackson is past it, try another club please than Gravesend  or Margit or Gillingham what the hell have they ever achieved?..........

Cloke at Dover,  Rocky Baptiste, Players that look to be better than we have here for sure. Plus we have the money to wean them away. IF we are going for it GO FOR IT properly. We should be able to pay that little 1 or 2k signing on fee or transfer fee to bring the players in that ARE better than we have because the club spent absoloutely NONE of the 80k cup receipts, and as we have been told, Ade cut the money spent "all players brought in are on less than those ive let go". Managerial skills not only include, picking the team, but also convincing better players to come to the club, those Conference or League players that cannot get in the team. (Yeah Yeah, i know Gillingham!!).

We also need a bloody reserve team . Capital League or Suburban League. And dont make me laugh 60k to 100k a year to run reserves.  Ade has done ok this year, but i hope he boots out the chaff and has the other signed before the season starts plus we have some decent friendlies. Why not go up the north east or South West on a mini tour? Team Bonding and togetherness (Didnt Weymouth do a tour to Ireland?)

"NONE of the 80k cup receipts"

Having touched on this matter with Graham Hobbins this just isn't true.  I can't give chapter and verse but for example the player budget has been in overspend mode for one thing.  Common sense also says that Cup run money is what saves clubs from going under.

Harping on about matters we have very little or no knowledge of is a waste of energy.  Has anyone written to/asked to discuss the usage of cup run money with Graham who has indicated that he would be prepared to discuss matters of fact with supporters?

"And dont make me laugh 60k to 100k a year to run reserves."

I'm not sure where the £60k originated beyond it being quoted on a forum some years ago and having been referred to by myself and others subsequently.

No decision on a reserve side had been made when I spoke to Graham a couple of weeks ago though he reaffirmed that Ade wants a reserve side and that it would have to be a Capital League side.  He did tell me that finance (however much it may or may not be) was not the issue but there are player related issues like players performing well in the reserves wanting first team football which we may not be in a position to provide at that particular point in time but others may and getting trialists to go to more distant away fixtures on a cold wet winters night.  Not exhaustive explanation but what I can recall from the discussion.  Again Graham has indicated that he is prepared to discuss matters of fact.

"Why not go up the north east or South West on a mini tour? Team Bonding and togetherness (Didnt Weymouth do a tour to Ireland?)"

Surely we tried this fairly recently with the tour of East Anglia.  I'm not sure that that was particularly successful in terms of team bonding.

I believe that Ade has the skills to promote and achieve team bonding and from a purely personal perspective I would rather see friendlies at PVR which would be seen by more supporters and generate some income.

Some good points Bruno.

I must take issue with one. The one where GH says player issues with players wanting first team etc etc. The reserve team is to help the club with trialists, bringing players back from injury, giving the fringe players a game and hopefully finding one or two youngsters coming through. GH's issue is laughable. We need a reserve team for fitness in the first instance, then for bringing the kids on. We simply need a capital league team. Im so glad you said finance isnt an issue. That means we should have one next year then! If we are GOING FOR IT then decent players will ask for trials in the Capital League, simple!

The fa cup/ fa trophy money Bruno has been discussed here and the amounts were worked out roughly, no one said , no thats wrong. its a ball park figure. Also... ADE said repeatedly the boys released were on significantly more than those brought in. The Squad is smaller than Parkers too. 2+2 isnt 14!!

Some excellent points all the same, interesting that the Club says its been spending over budget and the finances for a ressies is not an issue.

Oops almost forgot, just to add a bit of substance...

When we had that absolute horrific injury crisis under Parker. He was using his wages to pay the players, as well as Nigels PLUS he was getting help from 2 other people outside the Clubs finances. The Management team refuted the playing staff was over budget to the extent that the club said it was More than 2k a week if i remember - i may be wrong). Interesting that the club have said the last 2 Managers have now gone over budget with them BOTH saying otherwise.

The issue of the reserve side not being a financial problem per se was the point I was making.  Of course the reserve side is wanted to bring players back to match fitness and assess trialists - I didn't think that needed saying!!!

As far as the monies go I believe that this is not our affair - WUFC is not a company floated on the Stock Exchange and none of us are shareholders.  If the money were there and the brothers were to be paid £50k a year (which they aren't) what business is it of ours?  Having done a quick and very rough tally I can't see how the brothers keep the Club out of the financial mire that is consuming so many clubs outside of the Premiership, a fact which should be applauded not questionned and certainly not when this is done on guesswork and assumptions.

I have never seen Ade quoted as saying we were not over budget.  Semantics I know but replacing what may well have been overpaid players with players on a lesser wage does not of itself mean that you have balanced the budget.

JGFC, I repeat  Graham has said he is willing to discuss matters of fact why not see him and ask how the club has used the Cup run money?

Sorry if you feel that I'm being confrontational, I'm just a bit tired of this issue, which in my opinion has no place on the forum, raising its head on a fairly regular basis.
