If the season goes ahead behind closed doors or with limited crowds allowed, If the club had to live stream their games to make money to pay the players and other bills. Would you pay to watch the live streams?

Id watch the home games live stream, assuming it would be free for those of us who have already paid for their season ticket

Price should be full price as you could always have a mate or two round to watch. If you charge a fiver thatll still happen but the club just get less

I'll be frank and say no. A large percentage of non league is a chat on the terraces and over a drink before and after

Dartford have been doing this with PPV. As someone said, it's have to be the full price, but that seems alot for a stream, just saying...then again away fans would also want to watch matches. hello dulwich! Maybe i'd pay full price, but only watch the odd match.

Would be worth doing as the cost of setting it up is minimal. And we MUST innovate!

Die hard supporters who go to away games might pay but would probably watch with mates and only pay one fee. People who just wander along to home games to get out of the house or avoid shopping and chat to people who they never see away from football probably wouldn't. Sorry to be negative but I think that you'd be lucky to bring in £100.

Match day income isnt from just ticket sales it effects bar income, catering income and other bits like programs etc and lets face it, Its not like loads of people will go and watch a streamed match.

We would need a lot of more then the average attendance to make this sustainable.

If the season isnt curtailed this will be the first hurdle for the new board/ directorship to overcome. In terms of streaming unless the club try there never know. I dont know how it would work with away clubs but if the home team provides streams you may get ok revenue from fans who want to watch but dont usual travel in additon to those that do.

I think catering and bar revenue is the thing that will be incredibly difficult to mitigate.

Im preparing to take a ladder to danson park

I could be wrong but I am sure the league came out and said they ll be no season without fans?

At any rate, streaming a game may bring some money in but itd be tiny in comparison to hosting an actual match. Not many clubs tried it in pre season, and if it was easy revenue then I am sure many clubs would have donr so.

I think a League season is now unlikely.

Two ideas. First perhaps it might be possible to have a behind closed door competition amongst local teams such as Dulwich, Maidstone, Dartford. This could be streamed live and could be played just at one stadium to keep costs down. Its not financially viable to pay the players their normal wages but something is better than nothing and they will want to retain their fitness and practice.

Second, The Wings Bar. Perhaps our only other chance at revenue. Open the bar for the BT Sport matches which they already have for free. Perhaps pay for Sky, promote it and it might cover its cost. Another option is to pay for the Charlton and or Millwall games, there must be loads of their fans in bexley who would like to see their games.

How many of us go to pre-season friendlies? Not as many as during the season. Why is that? Presumably because of the competitive element. Once you start to get some clubs who can't or won't play the League structure goes sideways and I'd guess so would interest. Interest also wanes if you are playing crap. You may carry on attending for the social side in normal times but you are unlikely to get that from live streaming. Therefore, even if it starts off viable, there are no certainties down the track.

What little leverage this level has is unlikely to be best served by 1000 different potentially ineffectual attempts by clubs to float their own lifeboat. If everyone at NL level and below says we can't make it work, it becomes a decision for those imposing the rules whether they want to lose this level of sport or not. They are then dealing with at least hundreds of thousands of people rather than hundreds. At least then there may be a proper debate over it. You may also get assistance from EFL1 and 2 clubs. If it turns out they are prepared to sacrifice that, at least you know and you can make any plans to save individual clubs.

Do I think any of the League officials have the balls to do that. Probably not, unless Parmenter can start aligning people.

Having now seen the possible exclusion of fans until March the league is not viable. Id expect most non league clubs to go out of business and it doesnt look any healthier for leagues 1 and 2.

In May during the league meeting, the league said they were working on a plan B of teams playing just 20 games. You would play some teams at home but not away and vice versa. This option could be viable, even if the league started in January, it just depends if clubs could survive until then.
