I was looking at the Sheppy Twitter page to see if there is to be a pitch inspection but nothing seen. However I did see a link to their rules so I thought I would have a look. All the stuff about social distancing etc seems to be the norm although they will close bars 10 minutes before kick off and only open for 10 minutes at half time. Interestingly they state they will be having officers from the Met and Kent police in attendance. Are their fans that bad as it cannot be to contain our fans as we are not allowed in.
I would imagine its FA and government rules to have police to ensure all Covid regulations are met and good behaviour as theres a lot more focus on non league matches at the moment. I cant see any real supporter issues though considering were not allowed in.
FA also have this alcohol rule where the same 300 people cant drink and watch the game today but can at the next home game. Theyve always been a bit precious about the FA cup, except of course when Man Utd wanted to pull out and top teams see it as a competition for their reserves.
Plenty of beer being consumed pitch side. They made an announcement about 2:40 saying that all alcohol will now be served in plastic and no glass to be taken from the bar.
