Streaming isnt the same as watching a live game and to have football taken away from any fan is a blow. Ive watched a number of games below our level as a neutral fan and have thoroughly enjoyed them
Where it will affect us will be that the FA Trophy games are suspended as from Thursday. So the First Round (which has been drawn) will not be held as planned on Saturday 14th November.
We enter in the Second Round, due to be played on 5th December, but I suspect that date will now be taken up (if the restrictions are lifted) by the First Round Ties.
One possible solution would be for the National Leagues North and South to move the fixtures due to be played on 12th December to 5th December, allowing the 2nd Round of the FA Trophy to be played on 12th December, and the 3rd Round to go ahead as planned on 19th December. The only flaw with that would be where clubs share grounds, such as ourselves. We are due to play Chippenham at PVR on 12th December so moving that to 5th december might cause a clash, so either Erith & Belvedere might have to play on the Friday evening or Sunday.

This is all presuming that the FA expect all the clubs that have had no training for four weeks to start playing games immediately. There would be hamstring and groin strains galore!!
Anyone got any confidence they will resume in December. I certainly don't. If that is not the case do we start seeing the whole integrity of promotion/relegation at those levels in question again.
If I was at that level I'd begin to start wondering what the point was if there is no exit strategy from this stop/start cycle. Easier to see the merit in Merthy's strategy each time this occurs.
No one has a clue whats going on, just enjoy watching football without any expectations that it means anything as its easier for them to scrap the season as its just started if clubs at our level have to stop playing.
How ridiculous that Non elite clubs can play in the FA Cup but we cant play in the FA Trophy. Maybe have a league cup instead to fill the blank weeks? The league could get a sponsor and live stream all games now that all clubs are trying to stream.
Easier to do if they are getting funds in the same manner we are. If not, no guarantee they stay in business if it is just effectively for a kickabout.
