Below is an update from Kevins daughter Amy posted on Facebook earlier tonight
Hi All, update on my Dad. Today my mum, me, my sister and all the grandkids had a call. My Dad opened his eyes a little, moved a bit and could definitely hear us. His sedation has been reduced and hes reacted to it well. So a glimmer of hope after 2 weeks... much love to all xxx

Taken from Amy Fenlons Facebook page dated 03/02.Hello to all, wanted to give an update on my Dad Kevin Fenlon. As you all know over a week ago he came off of life support and has since been moved out of ICU. We still have many hurdles to jump and hillls to climb, but we are remaining positive and being encouraged to do so by the wonderful staff at Kings College Hospital looking after him. There wont be any short cuts to recovery just 2 steps forward then 1 back. Its going to be a long road but my mum has now been allowed to visit daily and we are seeing good progress. Feel free to keep calling, messaging and keeping in touch. Love to all and keep safe. Covid is no joke.

MASSIVE BRILLIANT NEWS EVERYBODY.... My DAD is HOME. He has asked me to give his thanks and appreciation to all of the wonderful staff at Kings and Queen Marys and to all our family and friends who have rallied and shown us so much love and support. Words cannot express how thankful we are. Very emotional day for all of us. Love to all.

Kevin has asked me to place on record how he very much enjoyed being with the Welling United family last Saturday. The reception he received was overwhelming and he would like to thank you, one and all, for the comradeship and friendship he received. He very much hopes to progress in the future and looks forward to seeing you all again when the occasion arises.
