For the benefit of non twitter users Braintree at home tomorrow is off due to the frozen snow on the pitch. The Chippenham game on Saturday as they are not prepared to play at present.

Spending time looking to see who is available every week is a bit random and not how I would want a league run
If there are a group of clubs that feel they cannot play without affecting long term future then it should scrapped.....I believe that continuing will be heavily affecting us financially too....We should look to start next season with a squad that can compete at least in mid table and not scraping about at the bottom playing whoever can get a team together each week
Also bearing in mind that we would have to look for games midweek too
It is a mess and the National League should get their act together and quickly..
Can we or should we complete a league with 50% of clubs not playing...of course not...who are we playing for?
I know there will be some on here that will want to carry on and that is of course fine....to what end would be my question
Have to agree, its time to call it a day and end this mad season. Set ourselves up for next season, perhaps with an earlier start to reduce the mid-week matches and fixture congestion that occurs in a normal season.
I cant blame clubs not wanting to put their financial stability at risk, not many club chairmen have an endless supply of £££s

I think that the Chairman's statement on the official website answers your final question. Whether semi-pro football should be considered as 'elite' is another question.
I was up for the league continuing, not now though, and was hoping the 2 week break was so the league could come up with funding or at least part funding/part loans. This would have given some clubs at least a chance of carrying on. But then to announce a vote towards the end of the break (why not sooner?) and then say no decision for 28 DAYS! (what's the point) is where the league lost the plot. Why wait and carry on playing for 28 days? I suppose if clubs voted to carry on then the fixtures might have been doable but the feeling and statements show which way the vote is going.
Should have been vote in January, 2 week break, decision.

The Law would be a good reason.
I don't agree, many won't. it's been handled poorly, but that element, is required.

Never mind loans..........Where has all the covid grant money gone?
I agree. I would love to know where it's gone considering our players are playing for the love of the club, covid testing is free of charge, staff cost nothing, manager is on a win bonus only, Bexley council don't want rent or rates, gas, electricity and water is tapped from nearby houses and match day travel is by flying carpet.
£150,000 in grants and loans ..... how many matches, and how many away games. No rates to pay, rent holidays, rebates on everything and players on non-contract.... maybe even on the MG £200 + whatever you can get out of him on match day!
