Having a little browse through twitter yesterday at clubs in our division resulted in me going onto every clubs official twitter pages and finding one or more of three things.
1) Player signings, every club bar us and 1 other has announced player signings.
2) Friendlies, 60% roughly (not including us) have announced friendly games starting first week of July, which isn't far away.
3) Season tickets, again most clubs bar us have them on sale or details of price and when they will be available.
So we're 0 out of 3, i'd say most are 2 out of 3 and a few managed all 3.
Now I know its been a sh*t time, by why is it year on year out always us!
Last ones to everything and this is where year on year out the club fails to attract new fans that we are told so desperately want and need.
There is a massive buzz about being allowed back to football but by the time anything is out there and in the community regarding season tickets people would of already gone elsewhere, they aint sat there waiting for news from welling, the club needed to be taking.it to them.
E&B have two charity games on this week, one tonight and one on Saturday. Our name is not even mentioned, its advertised as Erith and belvedere football ground park view road, just ridiculous how we're not involved in these things.
Regarding players yes I did listen to a bit of Tristan but I don't believe we are any worse off than quite a few teams, yet they can announce signings. We find out our players have left through other teams announcing they've signed them, just this morning Nathan Green has signed for Cray Valley.
And regarding friendlies well its the same thing, by time we announce anything people have already made plans to go elsewhere, every local club around us has announced friendlies already, people aint waiting for us, they are going elsewhere.
Been what seems a few positive things done regarding the bar etc but means absolutely nothing without doing the work in the right places and nobody to use it other than regular crowd.
So shouldn't we actively be trying find ways to pull that money back, all of it is unrealistic but at least do what you can. And i cannot believe we are the only ones in that situation.
Yes hopefully so.
I can only agree with the above. In all the years I have supported this Club I have never know such a period of inactivity, absolutely nothing positive to hang your hat on. We seem to have an owner who, from the deafening silence, appears to have no interest in the Club. We tried a new way ahead but that went down tubes and everything seems to have come to a standstill. It is time for the owner to man up and inform us of what he perceives to be the way ahead. I fully realise that he is still with us for one reason, that is to make money from any development but the complete lack of activity and communication about the past, present and future does not bode well for the Club.

In three words I can sum up everything i've learnt in life; it goes on.
If we budget to break even then unless we have a good cup run or really increase our attendances I can't see how we can reduce this figure. The director's loan helps as long as that's not expected back in the short term.
Hopefully the 20/21 year was an improvement on no major losses.
2 of the more bigger named players gone today. Wonder what talks are happening about squad and budget in light of the posted losses. Can't afford another preseason like last 100 trialists, cheap who may come together to form any remblence of a competitive side.
Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't making a loss and owing money mean two different things? Thought it was fairly normal to lose money in football? Could someone with a better understandin of who owns/runs/finances the club update me/us!!! Assume that doesn't mean we have 300,000 of debt, does it?

Hopefully it doesn't mean we have 300k worth of debt as grants from last season, the director loan, other previous finance might mean it's not so bad but when the press write something like that you would hope the club clarifies things.
Never fear. I'm sure we will have Brentford's or Millwall kids . That should bring in a crowd of 300 as Jamison has said... Why is it always us?
Have we got yet another commercial manager yet? We've had about 6 since Paul White emigrated to NewScotlandCastle. All have been abysmal and were horrendous appointments.
Since Roots left , who is running or advising on stuff like friendlies, events and commercial ?
It's always us , every year and we have a failure to learn from mistakes or want to better.
