Well...I haven't been to any friendlies but have read all the reports, listened to all the interviews and read the forum. It seems to me that (especially from Tristens interview) that a) don't expect too much. b) the team will not be complete for some weeks yet which bothers me a bit....as Tristen said about the team photo's...they will not be valid in 2 months c) we are seemingly going to struggle.
A sad position when you think we were in the play offs 2 years ago
If we go down it may take a herculean effort to get back when you look at the money in the divisions below HOWEVER we have also seen our team in the past while not being paid keep going playing as a team and overcoming adversity
We have a young team but you never know it may work
I have to agree Mark, I cannot recall a season starting with such poor prospects. Realistically we know we will not be challenging for the playoffs, will probably be in the bottom third of the league, and possibly in a relegation fight. But I expect that myself and three or four hundred others will still turn up. Are we mad?
Yes its going to be tough , we know we haven't got a big budget at the moment so its going to be a case of play for the badge and battle hard. "Havent" away is going to be tough but who knows, first game of the season we just might get something. I spoke to Steve and Tristan yesterday and both said its going to be a season where obviously there be highs and lows but we just need to stick together..I say let's really get behind this team and cheer them on loudly. Who knows what might happen, other than that let's all come together, meet up n have a beer and be thankful that our weekend's can get back to normality
