Spoke to a Slough supporter after the game. His view was that we are relegation fodder as our fans did not get behind the team when we were 2 1 up. He felt that our supporters were quite apathetic.

I don't think fans could change situations not made on the pitch but oh well.
Lack of and wrong sub made.
When their 17 whonis quite frankly one of the worst players I've ever seen at this level on that performance gets hooked the 19 goes on the right against a tired Pepe, we have Campbell and Ezennolim who can play there on the bench, then both Stevenson and Krabbenden looked tired and we have Saunders-Henry.
Game management too, they have a long throw, we'll smash it down the park then instead of out for a throw-in.
At least didn't lose but they were there for the taking, worst team I've seen us play in last month.
As for the facilities mentioned in another thread, it needs a massive improvement. Dartford game coming up and they will bring enough to take the crowd well over double what it was today.
I agree but I was just mentioning the view of an opposition supporter. Could the lack of atmosphere be down to the negative feeling within the club. Or is it just that we dont like singing?

Not a bad performance and as far as the opposition supporters are concerned they have a perfe t right to sing to their hearts content, however any comments I am sure are fuelled by alcohol. I am in no position to comment on substitutions but why bring on Hines, maybe in three months time when he has a level of fitness, Ibut not now. You have got in the hutch, not a forward I know, but Saunders Henry who gives you some skill and something different.

In three words I can sum up everything i've learnt in life; it goes on.
Annoyingly, hanging on for the win would have put us in the dizzy heights of 11th, firmly in mid-table and with a good foundation with which to kick on.
Should have held on for the win but Slough probably deserved a point over the 90 minutes. It was naivety in the extreme not to play out time and we seem to be running the clock down quite well for such a young team. Still feel we need some more experience down the spine of the team but I realise that comes at a cost. I note another centre half has signed but he is 19 and therefore has no experience of men's football at this level. Hopefully Biler and Campbell will soon be fit and be back in the starting XI as they offer some more width and speed down the flanks. Playing the diamond formation can leave the full backs exposed at times. At least we defended better than we have been doing especially after being bombarded with long throws on Saturday for 90 minutes.
Now we have a friendly tomorrow and a London Cup game at the weekend to presumably give some fringe players a game and hopefully get our keeper involved as well at some point. Time to work more on cohesion and fitness as well before a very important FA Cup fixture and then a nice easy game on the 25th in the league...
If you have said to me last weekend after the capitulation at St Albans that we would now have 4 points form the next two games I would probably have laughed at first and then bitten your hand off. Definite signs of improvement in both defending and attacking play.
